Most Man Utd fans are not proper fans. They are unable to be, because they are based in foreign countries where EPL coverage is not a top priority.
Man Utd is the most "bandwagonised" club in the world, a "dishonour" previously held by the Chicago Bulls.

Congrats for what? Both teams should be ashamed ...

So 'fandom' is measured by your proximity to the city of your favorite club? If I move from Manchester to someplace else for a job or something, do I become less of a fan?

And for Yeovil fans, Yeovil FC are FAR more than just a football club.
In the 21st Century, the vast majority of Man Utd fans are based outside of the land of Pom.
We must have about 500,000 folk down under who claim to support Man Utd. Probably 90% of them epitomise the term "bandwagoning."
This is by no means an anti-Man Utd jibe (it could apply to Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, West Ham) , but the reality is that if you were to compare the percentage of genuine, passionate fans for Yeovil with the percentage of fans who are equally as passionate for Man Utd, Yeovil would probably have a more pasisonate fan base.
It's unfortunate in this globalised world that passion is measured by quantity rather than quality.

Jesus, do you specialise in talking total bollocks, all that crap about " proper" fans, tell me then, 2 years ago United played Exeter in the cup, 10,000 Exeter "fans" travelled to OT, when they normally have less than 3,000 for a league match, but because they're a small club are they all "proper" fans, absolute BOLLOCKS, in that tiny little world you inhabit, unless someone lives within a 5-10 mile radius of a stadium they can't be real "fans" absolute total CRAP!
Also the Cup final in 2004 Utd v. Millwall, Utd were allocated 5,000 or so more tickets than millwall, who in turn complained to anyone who'd listen, but they'd still been allocated 10,000 more tickets than their average attendance, so where had all these "proper" fans come from, people who'd never been to see, or never again would go to see millwall, all of a sudden they're "proper" fans, coz they "support" a little club, absolute & total F***ING BOLLOCKS! 1 point I'll agree on is, yes a lot of people say they support Utd, & don't know a lot, if anything about the clubs history, but every major club in the world has that kind of "fan" & they BORE me almost as much as this old chestnut, " gloryhunters," but stop being catergorical about "most" UNITED fans, just because someone lives half way around the world, & can't get to OT, doesn't mean they can't be passionate about the club, & if you need to ask why, or how they can be so passionate about that, or any other club, then IMO its YOU who know so little about football, & how it can illogically grab hold of, & take over, otherwise rational, & intelligent human beings.

& where exactly are the top 4 spanish teams in the champs/lge?, whilst 3 of the top 4 English clubs made it to the semi's, & more English clubs have reigned as Champs of Europe than any other nation, & more clubs from England have won European trophies than any other nation, the English league title has been won by far more clubs than any other major league, except Germany, tied equally with 23 different champions, no English club has ever dominated its domestic league, in the way Real, & Barca have in spain, Juve has in Italy, & Bayern has in Germany, God, learn about the HISTORY of the game in general before making ridiculous comments about something you obviously know very little about, football goes back beyond the year 2000, did you know that?
