How quickly you forget who knocked your ELITE team out of the playoffs less than seven months ago. Yes, THE WILD DID THAT!
Zoney, speaking of "ass shit" comments... I think you need to stop and think for a second. You are reading far too much into what I said. I did not once say the Wild were not a good team, did I? No, no, I didn't. My comment was a reference to the not so high ochtane offense of the Wild managing to do something (that normally requires offense to do) which no other team has ever done, not even the Edmonton Oilers of the 80s. Don't you find that the least bit surprising? Even you have to admit they don't exactly pump goals out by the dozens (I'm using hyporbole, by the way, so don't take "dozens" literally). My point isn't that it's surprising the Wild scored 2 goals in the fastest time in NHL history because they're not a good team, but, rather, because they're not a high scoring one. I thought this was obvious, but if it wasn't, I apologize.

Ducks are lame. The Wild are also lame. Those teams ruined the playoffs last year. No offence to thos eof you who like those teams but a Wings/Avs semi final would've been so much better thatn a Ducks/Wild final. Thank God that won't happen again. It won't right? Anyways just wanted to say

Go HABS Go!!!!!!!!

Mikey...

I have a feeling that if it were the Canucks...suddenly it wouldn't be so suprising.

It doesn't matter if they haven't scored a goal in eight games, and suddenly put two in....it is all luck of the draw. LUCK. Doesn't matter if it were the 80's Oilers or '04 Wild.

That's what always happens... I predicted it at the beginning of the year, and they followed the flash-in-the-pan script to the letter (see Carolina, Washington, and Buffalo in years past). Interesting how it coincided with revisions to the dimensions of goalie equipment...

And apparently I missed the Jagr trade. TSN was reporting this morning that the deal was in the making, and possibly in the final stages. I'm not at all surprised...

It's interesting to look at the current goaltender situations in the NHL at the moment. Considering that there's potentially 40 or so number one goalies, for merely 30 teams. That's not including the currently injured, like Dan Blackburn and Miika Kiprusoff. I'm curious to see how the futures of Johan Hedberg, Roman Turek, Curtis Joseph, and Dominik Hasek turn out...

PS- did someone make an 80's Oilers reference?

Jagr in New York! This of course means I'm keeping Nedved, who'll likely be on his line, since they used to be linemates in Pittsburgh.

Yes, but this of course also means Lang will be getting less points now, too.... although, if you subscribe to yours and Chiz's theory of extra playing time and less "point stealers", Lang's production should actually increase!!

hahaha, way too funny.

It's really a shame about The Gonch, don't you agree?

It's a shame about the Gonch... and the situation in Washington is a million times different than the one in Colorado...

too funny indeed.

Stupid Oilers aren't going to make the playoffs the way they're playing these days....it's disgusting!

Good thing I'm a Leafs fan!

A pretty good game between the Canucks and the Blues tonight. The Sedins are looking good!

By the way, Chiz - I had no idea St. Louis got so cold in the winter. It makes Vancouver seem like the tropics! You guys tend to have the same temperature as Vancouver, but instead of a + sign, it's a minus (in Celcius). For example, if it's +10 C. in Van, it's -10 C. in St. Louis. Burr! I guess Canada isn't always colder than the US afterall!

It might be cold there, but you sure are a fair weather fan! St. Louis does not suck (as much as it kills me to admit). They are one of the best teams in the NHL, especially with Demitra et al in the line-up. I think they are very much like Vancouver, but have a slightly different system.
