U2News is always honored when we receive news submissions, but this submission is decidely more heart-warming as it deals with an event in U2's history that many thought impossible and/or dangerous.
Bosnian author Muharem Bazdulj from Sarajevo, has written a book entitled The Concert about the night U2 played war-torn Sarajevo in September 1997.
U2News reader Jazman has translated the online description for the new book:
"The book is mainly about U2's concert in Sarajevo in 1997 and all of the circumstances that followed this concert. When trying to describe the meaning of this special event, Muharem Bazdulj came up with the original frame for a story and has successfully entangled fictional and journalistic elements in an attempt to tell a story of ten people through their relation toward this concert and the music of this band."
