My top three, in particular order:
U2
Indigo Girls (saw them live on Tuesday - amazing!!)
David Gray

the rest is more song-by-song or album-by-album. In general, I listen to rock - acoustic rock, folk rock, classic rock, new rock.....ROCK

but I also enjoy musical/movie scores and some classical music

I loathe country, rap, and R&B

Recently I was talking to my roommates about music or something and I said sort of sarcastically, "Well, some people think COUNTRY is cool!" (I don't remember how we got into this exactly) and one of my roommates said, "What's wrong with that?" Oopsie...Open mouth, insert foot...but that still doesn't make it suck any less!

I jazz, big band jazz though, not the "hey let's have a piano solo for 10 minutes" combo type stuff. I spose that's from being in jazz band in high school...
other people i like very, very much:
coldplay, eric clapton and all his incarnations, stevie ray vaughn, stevie wonder, george clinton and the parliament funkadelic, earth wind and fire, prince, marvin gaye, jimi hendrix, the beatles.. ummmm R and B like back in the day before it started to suck...

He's done several independent albums, and just got done touring with Marc Anthony.

You should check him out the next time he does a hometown gig... my sis and I always go.

His music is sooooooo much better than his MMC counterparts (ie. Britney, NSync, etc.)
