Yeah, because their on a stadium, you can't really have everyone stood on grass

1) It would ruin the surface
2) It would be very muddy!!!

Its just bits of plastic like a jigsaw really.

Its called 'teraplas' I think. They lay it over the grass to kep the pitch from getting ruined...

i know a few people who work for the company who put that stuff down, its called 'roller-track' and is as quadcaster says, its just to protect the grass and did a great job actually. shoes were defo bone dry and mud-free (manchester has rain no matter the season)
