Yes, ET a/k/a the bad influence talked me into going to Vegas to see JT. So much for my New Year's resolution to spend less money and to save for the next U2 tour :(

I'm sure it will be a great weekend! Saving money is highly overrated :)

Next year? Whats up with that!

What about THIS YEAR!!!

Awwww...how sweet!

I feel loved!

The math...it's pretty simple...

Stay-at-home Mom = 1 income = not enough $$$ = no plane ticket = no hotel = no U2JT

:nerd:

That's unless you guys come to Texas OR you pay for my plane ticket and my hotel...oh and a few extra bucks to gamble to hopefully win back your money.

Here are some details from the JW! I think we will be doing a ZooTV set and a Vertigo set on St Patty's. Not sure yet for Saturday.

Saturday night offers the very best ‘Happy Hour of the Year’ to kick off the weekend festivities from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. with $2.00 pints of Guinness, Harp and Smithwick’s. From 8 p.m. to Midnight, enjoy a good old-fashioned sing-a-long with famed musician John Windsor. No cover charge.

The fun continues in The Edge Lounge with a feature performance from California’s renowned U2 Tribute Band, Joshua Tree from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. $10 cover charge.

Sunday, March 16 is a family affair with a traditional Irish Brunch in Edge Lounge. Join in on the fun with an afternoon celebration of fine food, libation, live music, dance and plenty of ‘craic!’ Featured entertainment includes the Martin Perceval School of Irish Dance and Joshua Tree, singing the classics of U2. The cost is $28 per person and children 12 and under are $14. For those wanting to enjoy the entertainment only, a $10 charge applies. Two seatings are available at 11:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Reservations can be made by calling 702-869-7381.

Live Sunday evening, Thompson/O’Keefe will be on stage in J.C. Wooloughan’s from 8 p.m. to midnight with no cover charge.

On the day when all things green are sacred, St. Patrick’s Day, the pub kicks it up a notch offering three party venues: J.C. Wooloughan’s Irish Pub, The Backyard (our outdoor locale), and Edge Lounge.

The pub opens its doors at 10:00 a.m. for hardcore revelers to begin the celebration early. The party kicks off with a smorgasbord of food and libation including a traditional steamship of Corned Beef & Carvery in J.C. Wooloughan’s. The bag pipes will launch the entertainment line-up at Noon with John Windsor followed by Vegas Players and Thompson/O’Keefe.

At 5:00 pm, The Backyard opens showcasing vintage U2 concert footage and Edge Lounge hosts two feature acts of the season; Modern Edge starting at 5:00 p.m. and Joshua Tree from 9:00 p.m. until the wee hours. The cover charge for J.C. Wooloughan’s and The Backyard is $10 and for all three party venues, the cover charge is $20. Tickets are available at J.C. Wooloughan’s or can be reserved by calling 702-869-7725.

A special discount package is available by stopping by J.C. Wooloughan’s in person on Friday evening between 8 p.m. and midnight. Guests can purchase a pass for Saturday night and all day St. Patrick’s Day for $20 (regular $30).

As the official St. Patrick’s Day headquarters for MIX 94.1 FM, the pub will play host to the radio station’s live broadcast on St Patrick’s Day 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Don’t forget to visit the Blarney Stone, located outside the J.C. Wooloughan’s, and guess the weight to win a wonderful prize of a one-night stay at the beautiful JW Marriott Las Vegas and dinner for two at J.C.Wooloughan’s Irish Pub.
