H-lounge.com Announces Hyperscore Ringtone Competition Judged by U2's Edge and MIT Luminaries


CAMBRIDGE, MA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 01/11/2006 -- H-Lounge, the online social networking site for making and sharing music, today announced its inaugural ringtone competition. The Competition leverages the site's award-winning Hyperscore® software, which lets users not only listen to and share music, but also create and collaborate with fellow H-Loungers of all ages via web and mobile phone. The Competition winners, to be announced at the end of the month and honored at a ceremony on the MIT campus, will receive cash and prizes from Boston-area sponsors including The Lyons Group, Avalon Club, and H-Lounge.

Hyperscore® Ringtone Competition Details

Who: Universe of 20,000+ undergraduates, graduate students, faculty, alumni, staff, family members and others around the world who are affiliated with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Entrants to both the "undergraduate" and "other" categories must have an MIT e-mail address.

What: Create and submit a ringtone using Hyperscore®, a graphical music composition tool, which allows people of all ages to compose music without having any background in music. (Editors' Note: See accompanying 1/11/06 press release about company debut and Hyperscore®.)

When: Submissions accepted online at http://www.h-lounge.com/ringtones/events.php beginning today and through midnight on 1/21/2006. Winners announced at Award Ceremony to be held at MIT's Stata Center, Room 32-123, in Cambridge on January 27, 2006 at 4:30 p.m.
