Not bad...so, HTDAAB has sold now about 1.125.000 copies in UK.
I think it possible to reach 1.200.000 at the end of the year (it means to sell about 2.800 copies/week).

Uau! It would be a fantastic thing, but for me there's no chance, because HTDAAB should sell something like 6.730 copies / week...honestly, a number too high if we remember that in the weeks before Vertigo Tour landed in UK the average was about 3.000.
Mmm, i think that 1.200.000 is something possible, maybe 1.250.000, but no 1.300.000, unfortunately...

The #25 album in the UK this week sold 12,561 copies, so HTDAAB at #24 would be somewhere around 12,700-13,000.

Well, I think this is very good for # 24 - better than I thought. Bomb should now get to 1,200,000 in UK by end of year.

Sorry for being pedantic but IMO these really should be last weeks charts 'cos Bomb's only been on Flanders chart for 31 weeks 'cos of street violations in 1st week. But don't worry 'cos I already posted these charts in w.30 thread.

News from Norway:
HTDAAB rises from 36 to 24 (and Vertigo Tour will reach scandinavian nations only at late july..).

Fantastic news. That's all I can say about this.

France - still pretty good considering the Paris gig's aren't for another week or so :

Bomb : # 35 (#32) - sales should now be close to 400K (I think about 380,000)
Sometimes : # 86 (#77)

Still no sign of COBL

I think HTDAAB has done very well in France...let's have a look to the chart today: in the first 35 positions there are 20 discs in french language; rock albums like Boss's Devils & Dust or Oasis's DBTT are far away from number 50 even if they're releases in the last two months; Keane's Hopes And Fears, superselled in UK and Ireland is at 27 even if contains a very long string of singles with a incredible airplay everywhere; Green Day is number 24.
In France is a very hard race for a rock album or a not french album...but HTDAAB is still in the top forty and is the oldest album in the top forty, with a good chance to increase his position When Vertigo Tour will reach France.
Not bad...

but city is at #2 in dvd musical chart.....

With the big decrease in USA, the small decrease in UK i expect no good result for the world charts. I think it's not sure, if the Bomb will stay in the Top 40 :|

Billboard Europe Charts

Billboard has updated their Top 100 Album & Singles Chart for Europe.

Top 100 albums: HTDAAB falls from 17 to 20

Top 100 singles: COBL falls from 16 to 17

There is no good news for U2 on the U.S. radio or Billboard charts, so I didn't bother posting the various radio play format charts for Sometimes or COBL. Unless something turns around ASAP, COBL will be a complete flop in the U.S.

whats the problem with singles in the US?
is it that the radio stations are unwilling to play the songs? and also not being available for download

Canada :

Bomb : # 74 (# 58)
COBL : sales - # 4 (# 2), airplay - # 91 (NE)

So, Bomb will do well to say on mediatraffic chart - I think # 20 in Europe will just be enough.

Still v.good in Belgium :

Flanders :

Bomb : # 6 (# 6)
BO 80-90 : # 32 (# 32)
BO 90-00 : # 47 (# 47)
COBL : # 29 (# 32)

Wallonie :

Bomb : # 11 (# 17)
COBL : # 24 (# 23)

So, Bomb up to about # 8 overall.

Edge3 do you reckon the bomb has had it's day in the states and UK or will it bounce back.I expect no 1 here next week, but people have different fews and i would be surprised if u2 albums were flooding the top 60 like they were after slane
