Chinese Democracy- Guns N' Roses

I like it a lot. This is not your father's Guns N' Roses, but Axl and Co. have put together a pretty decent album.

After that Dire Straits one I listened to quite a few other albums today:

all-time favorite album.

Sly & The Family Stone - Stand

Recently I got almost all of Sly's early (i.e. pre-1975) albums. I'm only missing There's A Riot Going On. :shifty:
Good stuff and I could recognise quite a few cases where his songs had been sampled (from LL Cool J to the Chemical Brothers).

As for me, while I'm working at home:
Faithless - Reverence

Coldplay - Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends

Neil Finn - One Nil

Chinese Democracy.

It's getting better upon more listens, but I can't help but feel like this album would have meant more if it had come out in 1996.

Nirvana - In Utero (8/10)
The Mountain Goats - Tallahassee (9/10)
Pink Floyd - A Saucerful Of Secrets (6.5/10)

Lots of Thanksgiving listening

Fleet Foxes - Sun Giant EP
Band Of Horses - Ceases To Begin
Jay-Z and Linkin Park:reject: - Collision Course
Killers - Day and Age x3
Kanye West - 808s and Heartbreak
Kanye West - Graduation
Alphaville - Forever Young

Some of the titles of today:

Amy Winehouse - Frank

Jimi Hendrix - Band Of Gypsys

Oasis - Definitely Maybe

I love that Definitely Maybe cover so much!

Oh and I forgot to mention the 5 or 6 listens to Keane's Perfect Symmetry this past week.
