his voice doesn't sound as good as the last couple of albums...in this song he's regressed to the Anthony of old.

That new song is 'meh'.
Whoever said it... very radio safe indeed. I'm liking the new blink-182 single better than the RHCP single... a little bit more umf.

I'm a big Peppers fan.
I've listened to the new song 4 or 5 times now. First listen I thought it was ok, but once I turned the bass up, it's very catchy. It seems to be missing a catchy chorus but overall I think it's a very good song. Top 2 Peppers songs: Don't Forget Me (Unbelievable guitar work live- especially Live at Slane) ‪RHCP - Don't forget me‬‏ - YouTube Wet Sand (3:40 until the end is one of the greatest parts of a song ever) ‪Red Hot Chili Peppers- Wet Sand‬‏ - YouTube

That Slane version of Don't Forget Me is insane. The whole DVD is great.

Yeah, the entire DVD is great. It's only missing Soul to Squeeze. I must have played it 200 times since 2003.
That version of Don't Forget Me is powerful- you FEEL it.

Wow I like that Don't Forget Me. I have the Slane DVD, but don't remember it being that good.
I like the new single. Catchy bass line. I'm interested to hear how the rest of the album will be.

That Wet Sand track is great. I'd never heard it, cos I was never interested in listening to Stadium Arcadium. I think those type tracks actually suit Kiedis' voice a bit better. Venice Queen is a stellar track. I love most of By the Way. Californication is great, Blood Sugar is good but hella overrated, and I really dig Freakey Styley.

Wet Sand is one of the only redeeming parts of Stadium Arcadium. Fantastic song.

I agree, it seems they tried to make the songs on SA easier for Kiedis to sing live. More melodic and slower songs- they started that on By The Way. That being said, there are some real gems on there. Kiedis has also gotten a bit better live. I've seen them maybe 15 times since 1999 for the Californication tour. He was terrible back then and has gotten steadily better live. Still not very good lol. Blood Sugar Sex Magic is awesome but not for everyone. You have to be in a loose mindset for it. The later stuff is more friendly.

I wish I could find a high quality version of Wet Sand live where Frusciante plays the solo as it is on SA. Most I've found he improvises, and while it's pretty good, it doesn't reach that high from the album. This is pretty good ‪Red hot chili peppers - Wet sand‬‏ - YouTube

Egh. The production of that video is like... awful.
The vocals don't even look like they match up to the video. And that song does not rock the way they're dancing to it. They look like a bunch of idiots on a rooftop.

Didn't get to watch it yet, but a coworker of mine was there for the video shoot. Somewhere in the crowd...
