Going to Amsterdam on a Saturday is dangerous for me. :shifty:

Ryan Adams - Gold (with bonus disc)
Emmylou Harris - Songbird (boxset)
The La's - BBC In Session
Willy Nelson - One Hell Of A Ride (boxset)
Prince - One Nite Alone... Live! (boxset)
Voicst - 11-11 (finally found a first edition of their first album)

Willie Nelson and Emmylou Harris are new, the others used.

That felt good.

The Kills--No Wow
Saint-Saens--Symphony no 3 (Organ symphony)
The Black Keys--Rubber Factory
TV On The Radio--Dear Science

Amazon can go screw themselves. Don't raise the price on my records while the sit in my cart. Tower.com rules. They're cheaper by far than Amazon. I only buy records at Amazon anymore if Tower doesn't have them or I'm buying a book for Steve anyway.

Some trance goodness:

Mr Sam - Opus Secundo
Tiesto - In Search of Sunrise 7: Asia
The Thrillseekers - Nightmusic Volume 3

And a gift from across the pond:

Stereophonics - Pull the Pin

I just got back from a great showcase by Hautekiet en De Leeuw. I've known the music of Rick de Leeuw for a while (was a fan of his earlier band Tröckener Kecks, which sadly split in 2001). Anyway, it was a great show, quite intense at times. They even did Dutch versions of Caroline Says II (by Lou Reed) and Just Like A Woman (Bob Dylan). And after the show, I bought their album. So:

Hautekiet en De Leeuw - Waar

I went a bit nuts at the store today (which likely surprises no one)

i want. and will be stopping at the record store today after work. i decided some time ago that i'm done buying live albums because i listen to them a couple times and then decide that i'd rather just hear the album versions of the songs plus the ones that didn't make the setlist. this being the clash, i feel compelled to make this exception.

Reason #247 why you shouldn't let me loose in Amsterdam:
:shifty:

Crowded House - Time On Earth (I had the vinyl for a while, but only bought the CD today)
Green Day - Dookie
Scala - On The Rocks (used)
Spinvis - Spinvis (used)
The Stooges - The Stooges
The Stooges - Fun House
O.S.T. - Grease (used)

Plus some assorted singles (dEUS, Editors (with live tracks from last year's Lowlands festival) and Voicst).
And the only reason I went to Amsterdam was to go to a concert by Voicst...
:reject:

:)

I just picked up a few things on iTunes:
Mary Halvorson--Calling All Portraits
Deerhoof--Offending Maggie
Kings of Leon--Only By the Night

I also pre-ordered the albums by Ray LaMontagne and Ryan Adams and the Cardinals that are coming out later this month. I do want to get that Clash album, as well as the new Jolie Holland album, but I want CDs of those, which means they'll have to wait until the next time I order things online or the next time I'm in a city with a decent music store.

I also got Free Kitten's Inherit CD recently but haven't had a chance to listen to it yet.
