the scavengers came and scavenged anything half-decent from circuit city (or i'm going to tell myself that's what happened, because going out of business or not, there's no excuse for the lame-ass selection there)...

somehow i completely missed it when it came out. no idea how i did that.

and i noticed when i moved that i a) lost or b) never actually owned a copy of this:

not sure exactly how that happened. that's always been my favorite FM album. weird. oh well. i've got it now.

Solomon Burke - Nashville

And I found some interesting stuff in the used bins today:
Michael Franti & Spearhead - All Rebel Rockers
Giovanca - Subway Silence
Osdorp Posse - Vlijmscherp

The Spearhead and Giovanca ones are both promos (and were just 1 euro).

Antony and The Johnsons - The Crying Light
Keane - Perfect Symmetry
Innerpartysystem - self-titled

I got into Innerpartysystem after AtomicBono put them on a Space Moon mix, and then I heard another fantastic song by them on Sirius. Thanks, Space Moon! I'm enjoying their album so far.

springsteen - working on a dream [which i still haven't listened to in its entirety, what, a week or so later?]
seether - finding beauty in negative spaces [which i'm still trying to figure out why i bought]

then today i had to go north to visit the family, and no trip is complete without a stop at the cd store. woohoo! i went in there specifically looking for something, almost immediately forgot what it was, and never did remember or find it. i did find...

eels - electro-shock blues
ryan adams and the cardinals - jacksonville city nights
ash - trailer
fallout boy - folie a deux [if the alkaline trio and live had little emo babies...more or less of a guilty pleasure than seether? i can't really say]
stiff little fingers - flags and emblems
the decembrists - picaresque
henning ohlenbusch - looks like i'm tall [this guy is local, and ages ago i swore i was done listening to his stuff, but i've gotten over my general dislike for the dude]

i also got metallica's kill em all, but i ripped it to my computer and gave it to my brother.

I'm afraid to look outside, as I assume I'll either see the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, or pigs flying!

Who am I to judge, we all have our guilty pleasures. You made up for it with The Decemberists and Metallica grabs anywayz.
