My chain is SD1-> TS9 -> HD500 -> VoxAD100. A Dunlop crybaby is in the effects loop of the pod, as well as a Roland EV5 for a secondary expression pedal for the pod. The M13 is a backup which I keep in the effects loop of the Vox.

Amps:
My main amp is a VoxAD100. Very nice amp, allows me to get great U2 tones as well as just about anything else, from Metallica to Led Zepplin. I also have a Fender Acoustasonic Junior, which I use for acoustic guitars and vocals. When I'm playing U2 and have shimmer going, I split the shimmer signal to the Fender as well. I also have a Marshall MG30 which I really don't ever use and just sits there to look cool, lol.

Electric Guitars:
-2005 Heritage Cherry Gibson Explorer, which I upgraded to all gold hardware and Seymour Duncan Seth Lover pickups. I wish I was able to get one with a natural finish, but alas. It looks just as good, IMO.
-2004 Alpine White Epi Les Paul Custom, with a 197x T-Top in the bridge, and a Seymour Duncan Alnico Pro II in the neck. Both have openface gold covers like Edge's.
-200x Chrome Red MIM Strat, with vintage noiceless pickups. As well as a pickguard featuring my old band's artwork....
-Some Beringer beginner strat knockoff, which I put Gibson 496R and 500T pickups in. (came out of the Explorer) I also made some other modifications which the picture speaks for itself!

Acoustic Guitars:
-Taylor 214CE Grand Auditorium
-Yamaha 12 String something or other
-197x's Epiphone Acoustic (unfortunately while I was away in the Marines, the bridge gave way and snapped off the body. In the picture its just wedged into the space it sat, without any strings on. It was a wonderful sounding guitar, hopefully one day I will have it fixed)
-19XX Global, I don't know much about this guitar other than that it's old and doesn't stay in tune anymore. I also would like to fix it one day. I removed the pickguard which was very similar to that of a Humingbird. I intended to put it on my Taylor, however I lost it. oops.

Other bits:
My guitar picks I use are similar to Edge's Herdim picks with the dimpled spots for gripping which I also use to strike the strings. I also have a Peaceland 3/4" inch brass guitar slide ring.

Future investments:
-Black 70's Fender Strat with Kinman's
-Gretsch Electromatic
-Vox Ac30 or AC15
-AxeFX

LOVE all your stuff man! and thanks for serving our country, im about to sign myself to the Marines!

I really should take pictures of all my gear.

I bought a Gretsch Tennessee Rose today. And also an American Standard Telecaster. And also a Bad Cat Cub III amp.

Finances dictated I sell the Gretsch. Hat was a while back. I will get another at some point. Maybe a White Falcon.

I still have other great Edge and non-Edge guitars. So I'm not entirely bummed that I had to sell it.

The other reason that I was not too bummed when I had to sell the Gretsch, was the Cabronita. With TV Jones pickups, it covers some Gretsch territory.

Nothing like a nice piece of Ash.

Dude I bought it from swapped out the inferior Fender Fideli'Tron™ for TV Jones Classics.

He swapped out the plain black pick guard for a tortoise shell pick guard. (A far more classic look than the plain black) He upgraded the bridge too.

So what was a $600 MIM Fender Cabronita is close to $1400 Fender Custom Shop with the upgrades.

And if you are considering a MIM Cabronita, get the white/blonde vs. the black. The body for the white are Ash vs. Alder. Both are good wood but the Ash seems a bit nicer.

For fun, this is my 2002 Rickenbacker 330 6-string (with vintage pickups):

The 2003 Taylor 'Big Baby'. Signed by Daniel Lanois.

My Music Rising LP, the Fernandes RetroRocket (sold) and my Burgundy Glo Rick 330 6-string:

My 1976 Limited Edition Explorer:

YoU SOLD THE RETRO ROCKET!!! Lmfaooo

I didn't use the RetroRocket that much. In fact, the tribute Edge that I used to work for used it far more than I did.

The fretwork on the Fernandes leave a bit to be desired. I was cutting up my hands. I could have spent the money to fix it - But again, as there were some finance issues at the first bit of last year, a few items had to go.

Sure that Explorer is Korina? Looks more like mahogany. Korina is usually a more golden yellow color.

No, I thought all the original explorers were Korina. This is a genuine '76, with the baseball neck I do know that. 100% original. For some reason I thought they were Korina with the natural wood.

You are correct sir E_O. I just read a post where you explained that the Mahogany was the natural wood finish. For some reason, in my mind andfinite wisdom, I thought all of the Mahogany wood finishes were actually called Korina. So you were correct in that mine is not a Korina. My bad. Thanks for explaining.

You have some great gear there. Vintage Gretsch Gent looks great. They all do…

My new board for my Radiohead tribute band
2014-01-31231401.jpg

My first foray using a Pedaltrain frame. It's designed to go like this:
Line6 Relay 30 -> Custom patchbay -> Korg pitch black tuner -> Whammy DT -> AMT SS-30 Bulava -> Line6 M-13 -> MXR Microamp clone -> Custom patchbay -> to amp.

Both the M-13 and the Microamp run in the Bulava's effect send/return loop. The Bulava is a preamp which has two simultaneous outputs which allows me to send a signal to a poweramp plus speaker and directly into the front of house. I've designed the patch bay to not only handle both, but also to able to handle a EHX Magnum 44 poweramp pedal so when on the road all I need is a cabinet speaker if I want to have guitarsound on stage. It has two stomp switches and a toggle switch. One stomp switch selects between two different inputs, guitar and a Kaos pad (got to be able to play Everything in its right place), the other mutes the outgoing signal so I can silently use the M-13's looper. The toggle switch can active a Pete Cornish style input buffer.

The whole idea of this board has been to be able to travel with this board on the road and A: be independent on whatever kind of amp a venue has, B: less need for additional guitars because of alternate tunings (henceforth the Whammy DT) and C: not break my back lugging my previous pedal board around.

This was the board's predecessor
20121005_205205.jpg

T'was a good board and got me all the Radiohead tones I needed, almost all sturdy wood, but it weighed at least 30 kilos, so when we were asked to play some gigs abroad I quickly learned to curse its weight. Believe me, it was no fun hauling this baby along from the hotel through the cobbled streets of Istanbul because the car couldn't make it to the venue's entrance. Had me wheezing like a locomotive.

Line6 Relay 30 -> custom patchbay -> signal split
One signal chain Boss Volume pedal -> Boss DD7 -> Line 6 Verbzilla to an amp or DI for looping and shimmer.
Main signal chain to Korg Pitchblack tuner -> Whammy 4 (true bypass mod) -> self made multi-FX box (Tubescreamer, Shredmaster, MXR noisegate) -> Mad Professor Snow White auto wah clone -> Culturejam Shoot the moon tremelo -> EHX Small Stone -> TC Electronic Nova Delay -> Line 6 DL-4 -> Boss GE-7 (boost only) -> Boss RV-5 -> custom patchbay -> amp. I later switched the Snow White auto wah for an AMT WH-1 wah pedal, as I prefer a wah pedal to an auto wah and the AMT is as small as a regular stomp box.

The patchbay had a buffered splitter, a stompswitch to mute the looping/shimmer signal chain and a toggle switch to select between guitar and Kaospad input.

As I liked the first Pedaltrain I got me a smaller version, for if I have to grab something quick for a jam session or an audition.

2014-02-16141013.jpg

I build every pedal myself. From right to left: Looper/boost, Catalinbread Merkin Fuzz clone, Ram's Head Big Muff clone, Mad Professor Stone Grey distortion clone, Culturejam Shoot the Moon tremelo, BYOC Phase 90 and a Mad Professor Deep Blue Delay clone with volume mod. The looper is the most complicated thing I've ever cramped into a 125B box, not only has it all the dirt pedals in a dedicated loop so I can switch easily from dirt to clean, it has the input buffer from the Klon Centaur (gotta have one of those at the start of your chain), a Greg Fryer treble booster to give everything in the chain a kick, an EHX LPB-1 booster for leads and a repeater buffer so the dirt pedals will play nice with the modulation pedals. I've also noticed that with the volume knob mod the Deep Blue delay makes for an interesting boost pedal if you dig instant delay with your lead guitar tone. I might use it for that purpose on other boards in the future.

The Ram's Head will probably come off as I'm currently on my quest to build every incarnation of the Big Muff, both for funsies and to see which one is most to my taste. Current favorite seems to be the op-amp version. Which makes me wonder which version of the Big Muff did Edge use? Has to be a vintage one as he was using it during the Zoo TV tour, when EHX had gone bankrupt and the Russian Muffs weren't around yet. Judging by its appearance it has to be a V3 or a V6 version.

If I may ask, why? Did they move you into a closet or sold your gear to pay for the move? Surely such a small setup would be ideal for a smaller home.

The BadCat Cub III is the best amp I've ever played. The amp separates preamp and poweramp drive. So you can run the preamp clean, max out the K-Master, and get poweramp drive. Poweramp drive with a clean preamp is fantastic! If you run the K-Master up to about 1 o'clock, it acts as a normal master volume. Also it has a footswitchable V1 preamp tube (12ax7 footswitchable to EF86) which is absolutely amazing. It especially sounds good through the speakers I've got.

The guitars all sound fantastic and have been upgraded massively by Mike Lull to the pinnacle of playability, intonation, and sound. I don't understand why all guitars do not have the treble bypass stock.

I run the acoustic guitar directly into the effects loop return of one of my Unleashes. Such a fantastic clean way to amplify an acoustic guitar.

Things I need:
Strymon Mobius
some sort of clean boost
Ernie Ball Volume Pedal Jr with Analogman Buffer built in

Gretsch G5122 (TV Jones Pickups)

I got a Gretsch G5120, which is the same guitar, only the single-cut version.

6000d1260053629t-walnut-5120-rsz_dsc03674.jpg

(random picture of it that I googled)

I replaced literally all the hardware and electronics, and put TV Jones in it. I pinned the bridge, and even took a Gretsch Falcon pickguard and cut it so it would fit it. About $1000 worth of shit went into the guitar, and here's what I have:
