Errr... soirt of.
Except a mandolin has 8 strings and not 6. They are set up a bit like a 12-string, in that they are in pairs. And if memory serves, the tuning is like a bass guitar but backwards - instead of the top to bottom being EADG, it's GDAE.

I hear ya. Hence, "errr... sort of". I agree it looks lots like and mini-Ovation. An Ovation "Jr"? 0.5 of an Ovation?

Actually Id love to get one of those, I think they were £800 ish though. Quite steep in price for something so tiny.
