What you've done is looked into the face of a stereotype. Yes, they exist for a reason, but no, they don't represent everyone. The very title "Twinks4Trump" underlines how shallow of an individual this guy is. How much he loves fitting in, or perhaps intentionally bending what it means to fit in.

There is no "outing" as a "gay conservative." Or perhaps there is, but his friends are just idiots. Gay people have different political views. Some are democrats. Some are republicans. Some are libertarians. Some are socialists. Some are independent. They're sort of like, well, everyone else. I know plenty of gay people who might otherwise be conservative. And religious. And, that might make someone scratch their head. But that's just because there are so many people out there that might only have a small portion of the stereotype you're looking for to group them with a sorting hat.

But yes, most gays are liberals. Why? Because the Democratic Party has decided to actively, vocally support their livelihood. It's especially more common for a gay person to be liberal when they choose to be more open about their sexuality. This shouldn't shock you.

Look, I'm not ragging on you for voting for Trump or whatever other decisions I think are stupid. I don't think you're inherently a bad person. I've gotten the opposite impression. But, an overly produced video from some post-college airhead going through an early life crisis doesn't mean anything. He's just a regular person, and he thinks he is special.
Appreciate your comments but keep in mind that i live in a very red state and yet still most of my gay friends are very openly liberal. The few conservative ones are very quiet about it for reasons like what the guy said in the video that i mentioned previously. Not sure what here is different than anywhere else but maybe its not so different?

As for this guy's political beliefs and the motive for the video, who knows. Maybe he does not support someone who has financially benefited from countries who support torture of women and murder of homosexuals.

Either way, i support his right to choose and anyone else for that matter. If i agree or disagree it does not matter to me. It is more important to me that everyone has freedom to choose than if i am personally happy or sad on election day.

Keep the arguments about U2's political expression choices in this thread if you like, but keep the other discussion where it belongs - in FYM. Didn't we go over this after iheart?

Please.

yknow if Trump is as good as he says he is and he manages to destroy ISIS, I bet that will end terrorism forever. yep, the more I think about it, definitely. definitely. there's no way that another group will rise out of Daesh's ashes. not a chance. no way. we're gonna be so great.

Can't find a single significant issue that I agree with Hillary on.
most of these, fine, whatever. but please provide evidence he is pro life? he most certainly is not. and I would LOVE for you to explain how you can support this. I would love one Trump supporter to explain to me how this is even remotely feasible. genuinely want to have a discussion about that.

what happened to the America that welcomed the less privileged?
or because 0.01% of muslims are bad we can't take a risk? despite the fact that the Pulse murderer was born in the US? blocking muslim immigration doesn't stop that act of terrorism does it? and won't a war on muslims make muslims angry and more prone to be radicalised to hurt a country that tells them they're all terrorists? hmm.

I think this *might* have been because he was host of a reality TV show and not a politician. I'm really not sure though. I so dumb

But no, see, that's my point. The reasons the conservative ones are "quiet" aren't necessarily because of what he said. That's what he is leading you to believe. But the reality being a minority among minorities is that there's still diversity.

It begs the point. A gay person can still be sexist. A gay person can still be racist. A black person can still be homophobic. A woman can still be sexist.

What am I getting at? Just because an openly gay person is likely to be liberal, doesn't mean all gay people will be liberal. That much you obviously understand. But, what you are missing here is that not all gay people will be as simple as their stereotype. Just like not all [insert demographic] will, either. Some gay people will be Bernie supporters. Some gay people will have been hoping for Kasich. I knew a guy who threw his hat behind Ted Fucking Cruz because he loves his guns. Thing about that guy? He's love for guns is more important to him than his love for cock. So yes, he still wants marriage equality. Much like your Trump supporter guy, probably.

But this video isn't an accurate representation of "people on the left" as it just pretty much describes how he has a poor taste in friends, because he's vapid and shallow. And ultimately he thinks he's special because he's "different."

To your final point, like I said. Vote for whoever you want. I've never been one to try to 'convince' someone unless they asked to be convinced. It's your decision and no matter how many times I say it's a stupid decision I know that doesn't change anything. But in regards to the video specifically, it was artfully (not really) crafted to make it seem like he actually speaks for some rejected group of people. When it's neither that simple, nor is it reality.

If the lads were touring right now, I think we may have seen the return of MacPhisto, and the crank calls to the Trump campaign would be stuff of legend.

That's the kind of scorched-earth rant Bullet was made for.

Well this thread has been fun. If people want to talk politics, take it to FYM. And refrain from hurling insults at each other, thanks.
