It's both. There are many curses in professional sports, the majority of the most infamous belonging to baseball, but the NFL has some good ones. For instance, in DC, they have the Dan Snyder curse, and in Detroit, there's the "we're Detroit" curse.

the sad thing about Detroit fans, other than the fact that they are Detroit fans, is they can no longer afford to get those brown paper bags to put over their heads while attending games.
