Removing the disc from my cd player with ATYCLB and HTDAAB. I actually threw ATYCLB out of my car on the highway. Thank god it was a ripped disc.

Note: Favorite moments do not necessarily correlate with my favorite songs.

Boy - What Adam plays when the beat picks up in Into The Heart

October - From 1:00 until the vocals kick in on October, the heavy swells behind the piano always get me.

War - The last minute and thirty seconds of The Refugee

The Unforgettable Fire - The fade in on Promenade

The Joshua Tree - The very, very end of Red Hill Mining Town. The way the guitar gives way to that synth...

Rattle And Hum - Tie between the last chorus of Heartland, especially where Bono hits the falsetto and the string outro of All I Want Is You

Achtung Baby - Hard decision. Possibly the swirling strings as Bono sings "...we were tampled underfoot" and subsequent lead in to the last chorus in So Cruel

Zooropa - The second time Bono sings "Stay and the night would be enough"

Original Soundtracks 1 - Transition at the end of A Different Kind Of Blue into Beach Sequence

Pop - The bridge of Velvet Dress. Really heavy atmosphere there.

ATYCLB - "What you don't have you don't need it now" section of Beautiful Day

HTDAAB - I've wracked my brain...and I'm honestly not sure. Had Native Son been on the album, it would have undoubtedly been everything from the bridge onward.

Boy: the end of Another Time, Another Place when Bono sings in what sounds like Hebrew or German...something guttural.
QUOTE]

That part of Another Time, Another Place is one of my favourite alltime U2 moments.

Boy - intro from An Cat Dubh - for no particular reasons. just because.
October - Tomorrow, the first part [to 2:45]
War - Two Heeeeeeaaaaarts Beat As Oooooone ...
TUF - Edge's guitar an Larry's drums at the very beginning
TJT - Ah la la la de day, la la la de day... in Running To Stand Still
R&H - God, Pt. 2
AB - must be Acrobat.
Zooropa - Bono's falsetto in Lemon :D
Passengers - Adam's part of Your Blue Room :D
Pop - Wake Up Dead Man - I love the way how Bono sings it.
ATYCLB - Edge's intro in In A Little While
HTDAAB - Edge's part in Miracle Drug - Beneath the noise, Below the din...

Great threat

Boy - When The Electric Co. solo and drum part in the middle (particularly
live, with the snippets that Bono tends to add).
October - The end of Tomorrow (with the blast of energy)
War - intro to 40
The Unforgettable Fire - too many good moments. The explosion in Bad and "no spoke words, just a scream".
The Joshua Tree - "and when it's raining, raining hard..." and the outro to WOWY (specially live with Shine Like Stars).
R&H - "Through the ghost-ranch hills, death valley waters, in the towers of steel, belief goes on and on" and the "In this heartland"s that follow.
AB - the solo in Love Is Blindness.
Zooropa - the first 5 seconds of Stay, the explosion in Zooropa
Passengers - the rain drops in Beach Sequence.
Pop - "Tonight the moon is playing tricks again"
ATYCLB - the outro in Walk On.
HTDAAB - the intro to COBL

Boy: "The Ocean." The soul of this band was far more seasoned than I at such a young age.

October: The moment in "With a Shout" just before the horn comes in, where Bono is hooting and shouting like a wild Indian.

War: "Sunday Bloody Sunday."

The Unforgettable Fire: "Wire" on the whole rocks like crazy. There is nothing like it... just builds like a wild raga or an Irish jig, but again, feels like Bono is howling at the moon, and the band just rip through to an inevitable conclusion. But, I'd be foolish to deny "Promenade," "4th of July" and "Bad" as one moody trio of songs, building to a feverish conclusion by the end of "Bad."

The Joshua Tree: I'm a sucker for melody, so "Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" takes the cake. It's also a great secular lyric of gospel proportions.

Rattle and Hum: "The god I believe in isn't short of cash, mister."

Achtung Baby: The last verse of "One" through the close of the song.

Zooropa: "Numb."

Pop: The first three songs. As well as the scream "Miami!"

All That You Can't Leave Behind:

How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb:

Boy: Your eyes make a circle..
October: ...and the trees are stripped bare of all they wear. What do I care?
War: Electric Violin
Unforgettable Fire: ..red wine that punctures the skin...
Joshua Tree: ...love, slowly stripped away...
R&H: ...you never looked like an ay-angel..
AB: tossup between Edge's solo on UTEOTW followed by the 'Love love love' chanting, and "...I remember when we could sleep on stones..."
Zooropa: "The days, days, days, run away like horses over the hills"
Passengers: Pavarotti
Pop: "What's that you say to me? Does love light up your Christmas tree?"
ATYCLB: In A Little While, all of it.
Bomb: Whatever than faint mandolin-like sound is in COBL, and what sounds like a light bit of singing underneath it. Always thought that was a terrible tease.

what time in the song, etc

Immediately following day-glo eyes.

Chances are it's just a bit of echo or a stray end of an edge backup vocal, and as usually happens, I'm imagining something else. But that tiny bit of that song pops out at me.
