After incredible sold outs in Madrid (54,000 in 9h) and Barcelona (80,000 in 8h), today U2 sold out another stadium in Spain: 40,000 tickets sold in 6h!! The stadium is Anoeta, in San Sebastian (beautiful city, north of Spain)

Remember, according to spanish standards, this results are amazing!!!

Past results:

Joshua Tour: 115,000 tickets sold (one concert, Santiago Bernabeu stadium in Madrid).

ZooTV indoors: 46,000 tickets sold in 3 concerts (1 in San Sebastian and 2 in Barcelona).

ZooTV/Zooropa '93: 90,000 tickets sold in 2 concerts (1 in Oviedo and 1 in Madrid).

PopMart: around 107,000 tickets sold in 2 concerts (1 in Madrid and 1 in Barcelona. The last still a record attendance at Olympic Stadium).

Elevation Tour: 19,000 tickets sold in 1 concert in Barcelona

Vertigo Tour: 174,000 tickets sold in 3 concerts (Barcelona, San Sebastian and Madrid). And all SOLD OUT.

Unbelievable.

Is it me, or are concerts selling out far more quickly that they ever have done? I'm not just talking U2 but other gigs - Glastonbury being a prime example - up until 2003 you could buy tickets upto a fortnight before the festival began - now it sells out in a day.

Maybe, in Spain, we have the worst ticket retailer in the world: ticktackticket.

When they sold Madrid & Barcelona tickets it was a real disaster, lost of people making queues in the stores and not geting the ticket.

This time was even worst. Some people were making camping the day before at the stores doors (see at: u2eastlink.com/noticias) and some of them weren't able to get them. Ticktackticket server went down for an hour....
