The University of New South Wales said the creature -- named Imogine lateotentare -- is a very simple organism, but to say that its behavior is bizarre and complex would be an understatement.
The creatures have both male and female sexual organs.
They engage in a sexual practice that can be described as 'penis fencing'.
With the goal of reproduction, they attempt to stab each other with their genitals and the first to succeed in penetration inserts their sperm and then goes on to 'dick it out' with another flatworm.
The 'loser' of the battle lays and broods the eggs.
