    June 24, 2015 - Chicago, IL - United Center

I have seen comments like yours before. Could you or anyone else clue me in on how this is possible? Do they do the time fairly? Or is their a group that has come into existence that help each other by saving places for others in the line?

Yes. I am still completely confused by this layout. I have seats in section 120. I bought them in pre sale. My objective was that I would be looking at the front of the main stage since the Red Zone, I assumed at the time, would be by the main stage. I would prefer not to be on the side of the...

Chicago September 13th Setlist Party Thread #2

Tonight was better than last night. Unreal.

Moment of Surrender is a LAME closer

I never had such fun enjoying the rhythm section of U2 as I did at last night's show. Larry and Adam were awesome. Of course I pay attention to Edge and Bono, that goes without saying, but it was definitely a night to see, hear, and feel that thunder. I think we should call these two Sons of...

I think it was between 10:45 and 11.

Moment of Surrender is a LAME closer

Of course. It makes for a perfect musical denouement. Every song cannot be Bad or Vertigo. It is intense enough, for those with ears, but it also crowns the show and puts a capstone on the entire thing.

Moment of Surrender is a LAME closer

Great song and a great closer. Having said that, I think Edge was playing piano in the wrong key for awhile. Sounded like some clunkers in there. I hate to even bring it up because he was awesome for the entire evening. Don't think I ever saw him sing that much in a show. Haven't seen the group...

September 12, 13 - Soldier Field - Chicago PART FOUR!

Someone here had posted the Soldier Field rules on cameras. It said no cameras with lenses longer than 6 inches. There is nothing on the tickets that says you can't bring them in. So if stopped by security I would offer that fact if you want to bring your camera. I am in a good spot tonight...

September 12, 13 - Soldier Field - Chicago PART THREE!

That's pretty cool. But, by looking at it, it seems the old Soldier Field would be more conducive to this stage. This stadium is designed to be high to get you close to the action on a football game. It looks kind of crowded in there. No room to breathe, so to speak.

Are you serious? I will have to DVR the game. Have you ever been to Wrigley Field before? Lousy team this year, but you will see why people still go. It is the worlds best beer garden! I can't imagine Bono chatting with those chuckleheads in the WGN Broadcast booth.

    U2's musical influence

I always thought that Midnight Oil was half influenced by U2 and half influenced by The Who. Though I don't know how that might fit in on your disc. Radiohead sounds good to add to the mix you are already considering. Maybe something some cuts off Amnesiac?

Zooropa LIVE (I've never seen this)

Awesome clip. :applaud: It's funny, even though I don't expect them to play more than one of the songs off that album, I have found myself spinning this disc quite a bit lately. It would be a great opening number on any tour, but especially a big stadium gig.

I suppose it depends how thin or chubby those people are. This is Chicago, so probably less than most European or American venues.

Anyone else surprised by the amount of tickets needing new owners?

From what I'm seeing they are taking a bath. If I were still in the market, I would definitely offer half what they are asking and see what happens.

    Do You Wear A U2 Concert-Shirt To A U2 Concert?

I voted "no, don't be that guy". Although I could have opted for "cannot afford" as well. But, then again, I'm an old guy.

September 12, 13 - Soldier Field - Chicago PART THREE!

Matt, If you are coming from Milwaukee, you could take the Linden Street 'L' to Roosevelt Street. Take the Purple Line to Howard and hop on the Red Line at Howard. Then take that all the way to Roosevelt. About a 20 minute walk to Soldier Field from there. But, don't take the Skokie Swift as...

September 12, 13 - Soldier Field - Chicago PART THREE!

Probably everyone here has tickets for this weekends shows. However, I just wanted to pass on that I think there might be quite a few deals today and tomorrow. Yesterday I saw a guy on ebay pull his tickets by refusing bids because he was going to lose his shirt, and some lucky buyer was going...

I think Uno and Due are best. Lou Malnati's is good too. I don't care for Gino's East.

    Bono & Edge in London

Wow. What a great story. Thanks for sharing and for the pictures. I couldn't follow what you meant about ebayers at first, but as I went through the thread I now understand. During their shows it is obvious they care about their fans. So nice to hear of your personal experiences.

    Long Time U2 Fan Here!

Great forum here. And I am glad I found it. I am going to the Sunday night show in Chicago. I wasn't really planning on going until I saw some tickets available last Friday. My 7 year old saw me viewing something on You Tube and said he would like to go. I thought why not? Going to see U2 is...

That is a great shot. I am also going on 9/13 and I am hoping one of the legs on the claw will not be an obstruction. I would be perfectly happy with this view. What is the policy on cameras on this tour? I have a Nikon D70 (looks like a 35mm camera body) with a fast 28-70mm lens. In other...
