I take back any criticism I had. Great album.

After not loving Up With the Birds at all, I now think it is superb. I think the song's biggest weakness is that they could have dragged out the second half a little longer just to give it a bit more resonance as an album closer. But I love the vocal melody and the gentle rhythm.

I'm a bit confused.. so what has been released/leaked? Is the new 'polished' Achtung available?

Really, I loathe it. I take no pride in feeling this way. :(

This is possibly Coldplay's worst album for me, battling with X & Y. But it is much, much better than No Line on the Horizon in my opinion. What an abortion of a record that was.

I don't get the hate for The Killers' cover. But that would be because I am a fan. Perfect meld of their sound with a cover that is faithful to the original in many ways. Of course I guess if you don't like their sound, all you are going to do is compare it to a much loved and superior version...

Good album, almost very good, but not spectacular. Noel's most consistent collection of songs since 'What's the Story...'. However there is nothing exciting enough to make it a classic. Standouts are 'AKA... What a Life!' and 'If I Had a Gun'. No bad songs on the record. 7/10.

I'd like to champion some optimism for this maligned album that hasn't yet been released. Sadly the singles are the weakest tracks I've heard, but ETIAW is just happy, inoffensive fluff and the other stuff I've heard live is bread and butter Coldplay. I'm so positive about Charlie Brown, Hurts...

This has intrigued me.. why is Three Decades a cheeky title?

Amazing band, this album is everything I hoped it could be despite an incredible amount of personal expectation. Whilst it may not reach the heights of Primary Colour's best moments, it its consistently excellent. They really do have the potential for a splendid career ahead.

I wholeheartedly expect to be shot down for this vague and unsubtantiated info, but here goes. A friend of my father is apparently on some sort of planning comittee for Joondalup Arena in Perth. And they're currently trying to put through an application to have the venue's capacity upgraded...

Great song, that keeps improving for me on every listen. Not a singalong killer song, I don't even think it will work live. But it creates an atmosphere I've not heard in a U2 song since Passengers (I think its Your Blue Room's energetic cousin).
