24 hours have passed and things have changed for me a little. Sure, it's great to come across an album where all the songs are "cohesive". And the new sounds are exciting. But I love U2 because there are songs that I keep coming back to, even after over 20 years in some cases... I haven't...

It's promising and has a really complete album feel that hasn't been around since, I think, Achtung Baby. I can still listen to all of AB's songs with enjoyment (other than So Cruel...) - have to wait a few years to see if this on has a comparable longevity.

True true. Not that Coldplay was ever that close. Their one of my other favourite bands, but they'll need to come up with something DIFFERENT to their repetitive (& successful) song-writing formula to keep up with our boys. Best of luck to them...

This is a masterpiece, from the greatest band in the world, for modern times. Something from each era for all of us, whenever we jumped on the U2 bandwagon, with a 2009 twist... :bow:

1st Melbourne show - lined up at 8:45 am, ended up in the 2nd row in front of the B man himself! 2nd Melbourne show - wandered in at 6:30 pm, finished up a few metres behind the dividing fence on the arena floor, only about 50m away from the main stage, near Bono & Edge's B-stage...

Both Melbourne shows were excellent! Bono let the champagne flow over the crowd near the end. And Bad was a great way to finish the Australian leg of the tour. Although The Edge said "Thanks Sydney!" at the end - maybe it was just his subtle humour... Well done boys - hope to see you back...
