The more I listen to the record the more I think of how poor the Single choices were.
It's not as if they were stuck for choices.
If they were to release it again I'd have to go with Lights of Home (Strings) as the lead off single.
Then I would have followed up while things were still hot with...
What is your highest point on the album ?
Mine would have to be the "Nooooooo No No" coming out of the middle 8 on Red Flag Day, this is as close to early U2 as I've heard in years.
Close 2nd to "Weightless" on Landlady.
I actually miss that since I began listening to the CD rip.
Or "The Showman . . . No, Red Flag day"
The newbies will never know these little joys . . . . & the notifications
Gonna quote myself here as my original rating came off a single listen to the poor audio version.

On Songs Of Experience U2 daub colour across an ever-unrolling canvas, pausing occasionally to give sections more detail and using The Edge’s signature guitar tone sparingly.
Opener Love Is All We Have Left offers a sweet...
OK . . . lets put that in the maybe pile.
I like 90% of what U2 put out but I'm a fan.
My wife hates them but thought EBW with the strings on the BBC was outstanding.
Occasionally they still put out a track that can break the hardest of hearts.
We've to remember as fans that these will be the...
I can't wait for the relevance of U2:Burned supertanks, that's cheered me right up
The radio review was solid enough but pity the guy didn't rate it, he seemed far more into it.
Anyway U2:Burned supertanks . . . pew pew lasers pew pew
