Imagine, I will literally GO to a record shop on Dec1 and buy the vinyl version .. just because ... I like to FEEL a new U2 record in my hands , flip through the booklet , put the record on .. and just enjoy this analog feeling.

Is The Blackout the „ballsiest“ song on SOE? In terms of soundscapes? I did not read any reviews yet which would describe SOE being a bit more raw than the average U2 pop/rock song. That would make me :sad:

Gone was one of the last great Rock Songs from U2 for my taste. I don't really consider any 2000+ U2 song as "Rock" in a good way. Elevation/Vertigo ... not for me. Maybe "New York" and then with SOI we got some great "heavier" tunes (esp. live) with Cedarwood Road and Raised By Wolves. But...

Kygo Remix is the only reasonable arrangement for this song in my opinion.

As Bonos song descriptions are more often misleading than accurate, I won't be surprised if The Showman is a Late Seventies Joy Division in Manchester type of tune rather than Fifties Beatles in Hamburg. Red Flag Day was mentioned during the summer listening sessions? Hope it's on SOE. A song...
