excellent news about Mercy! My fav U2 song that never was, I love the unique atmosphere it has. Hopefully they'll play it live and it gets a great reaction, and then they release a remastered version on their next album. I can't see how U2 can let this gem slip.

shoulda put a redone mercy on there instead, cos white as snow is one of the weakest song I've heard from U2.

honestly, U2 has taken off the leash off Brian Eno's neck and let him run fucking wild in this album. Every song reeks (in a good way) of his subtle ambient touches. As with Adam Clayton, his bass lines now drive the songs instead of just hopping along for the ride, he has certainly stepped up...

This is probably their second best album after Joshua Tree, and it's by far their least accessible album for the mainstream, but I don't give a crap. I don't want people to appreciate it, I revel in the fact I have something other people don't. :D

Fuck I'm a cynic, I hated Sexy boots. But I gotta hand it to U2, I've only listened to Magnificent so far, and they have certainly redeemed themselves. Can't wait for the rest :up:
