Next Album Rumours Thread IV - 2 Sing 2 Furious

Haha, I didn't get 'stuck' vibes but probably because I went straight to mid-90s elton john when it started. It's the last 90 seconds that's basically "Love is Bigger" outro. If they can pull of songs like "little things..." or "landlady' "book of your heart" I'm good with that.

Next Album Rumours Thread IV - 2 Sing 2 Furious

Works great for a kids movie but that Elton John-like piano that he does in his sleep and the last part is a lazy attempt at Love is Bigger. ..doesn't do anything for me. Without Bono it could be anybody's generic pop song and that's my biggest issue with it as it's just forgettable and hate to...

I want to trade my NYC June 26 (Tuesday) General Admission ticket for a General Admission ticket for the June 25 show since my friends are going to that Monday show. Ritesh

Summer of Love - Appreciation Thread

I'm not bothered that it was a One Republic demo or parts of maybe a couple of songs at some point by them. It barely sounds like that group anyways. I think I would be more bothered if U2 tried to create a "Counting Stars" or something in that vein in order to get a hit by having Tedder...

    The Blackout

I think i listened to the live version too many times and then the studio version seemed flat. But then listened to it with headphones or just blasted it on the speakers over the weekend and it's seriously a great rock song. And that breakdown is awesome. Can't wait to see them play this next...

    Landlady Appreciation Thread

You know a song is amazing when you wish it would keep going. This is one of the most effortless-sounding songs they've done in a while. That warm guitar and Bono's voice...just wow :)

    SOE promo tour/promo activities

Ha ha. I liked it more in the last 2 minutes, seemed like they were in a good groove in the 2nd half of the song. Is there a song more polarizing than this in U2 history?

    American Soul.

Agree, def. not a bad song. I actually was influenced by the negative reviews on here until I listened to it a few times and enjoy the song. No, it's not one of the top songs on SOE but not the worst song by U2 ever as some are proclaiming.

Book Of Your Heart (U2 saved the best for last)!

What were they thinking leaving this off the main album but keeping American Soul on there (though I enjoy AS, this is just better)? Amazing vocals by Bono...reminds me of the vibe of "If you wear that velvet dress" and pretty much anything on AB. I'm floored about how great this song is...

Love Is All We Have Left - Appreciation Thread

Would love to see the next album have some more of this feel. Love that its subtle and sounds so effortless despite interesting sounds and vocal effects going on. Brings me back to "Stateless" :)

Songs of Experience 36 - Now with 20% fewer acronyms

Okay, I'm finally liking this song!!! And that's a major hook in this song with that 'oh' part. Can't believe I came around to this song in less than 24 hours.

Is anyone else listening to the album on a Friday night and ignoring friends and family?--asking for a friend

Songs of Experience 36 - Now with 20% fewer acronyms

Listened to the album at midnight for the first time last night and listened to it twice today. Songs that I wasn't sure about at first like "love is bigger" and "lights of home" are growing on me. I would say songs that I find as excellent at the moment are "13," "Little Things," "Red Flag...
