The Last Jedi was fucking awful. It made the prequels look like well thought out and exciting movies.
The movie featured crazy uncle Luke milking a space seal, Princess Leia doing a Mary Poppins space walk, a “space battle”that was entirely about there not being a galactic gas station nearby...
I just do not care if the reviewers give it a 0/100 or 10/10 or whatever.
I won’t know for sure what I think of this album for probably a year or so. Do I come back to it? Does it sound great in concert?
Right now I think it’s a solid album - honestly, probably close to as good as any other...
I think the performances last night on SNL were fine, I just find AS to be a very, very weak song. Blackout would have been a much better choice for a rocker on TV.
I think if you drop AS and YTBT from the album and add Book of Your Heart you’ve got a really strong album all the way through. I...
They clearly think they are making an artistic statement. Many will believe they are only doing it for the money (from the tour).
I think they made this album for both reasons.
I really liked SOI and generally like what I've heard from SOE. But I'm not afraid to admit this is a little like...
This album seems entirely mastered for headphones so far. It seems very flat and dull through speakers, but there are a lot of subtle details and the sound somehow richer on headphones. Maybe I’m crazy - anyone else hear it this way?

Best Thing is just bad enough to have a chance to succeed on radio.
But wholeheartedly agree - no U2 single is going to storm the charts anymore. "Meh" is the best they can hope for.
The venue is on the border of one of the most violent areas in the US on a normal day. This was absolutely the right decision by Live Nation/U2.
Sad outcome for sure.
I'll give this some time, but my first impression is not good. Seems way too plodding and disjointed.
It's as though they couldn't decide whether to risk a dance/pop song or make it a rock song and ended up with a mess that is neither.
I much prefer The Blackout.
So I've tried to digest The Blackout over the last 24 hours and overall I think it's a solid tune. It's no all-time classic but it's not a throw-away pile either (Hello Boots, Unknown Caller...) It has enough muscle to not be adult contemporary schlock and enough noise to not be a straight...
