You don't mean Cedars Of Lebanon? I remember there was an instrumental that claimed to be Cedars Of Lebanon and it sounded awesome indeed. There were members of this site who knew for sure that it was U2, because ''they had trained music ears (or something like that) and it were definitely Edge and Adam playing''.
The Cedars that ended up on the album didn't sound one bit like that instrumental at all of course.
Well that was mature...Try to handle criticism a little better next time - you know that's out of line.

Oh yes, this is definitely the song I remember. I also remember that it was titled Cedars Of Lebanon for a while on Youtube during that time. It doesn't matter anyway, it's still funny to read how many people were absolutely positive that this was a U2 song.

The point of these fake clips is to gain views. And they're certainly succeeding with that. Some people get ad revenues from their videos, so lots of views could gain them cash. The other reason to get a load of views is that you can change the title and description later. So you could upload your own band's video as a new U2 video, gain shitloads of views, then put it back as your own band's video and tah dah. Your unknown band is suddenly super popular because you have so many Youtube views!!!11!!!oneoneone

I've seen it before. Someone anonymously posts an instrumental claiming it's band X, a bunch of people start commenting on it because they are so ready for new music from this band, and then another poster comes in and says, sorry guys that my demo, that's weird I don't know why someone thought it was band x but hey if you like that check us out.
Yes, I know how recording works, my point is why would they have someone not in their circle in the studio at that phase in the recording?
Meh, I think I'd be disappointed if I found out this was on the album.
