ok so when are you arriving/departing and what part of town are you staying in? I'm going on Sat night to the concert so that night is out but if you'll be around on Thurs night maybe we could meet up.
 
I'm actually there with my family and I don't get in until Friday afternoon and the concert is Friday evening. I'm not sure what Kristen's plans are but she isn't with me for this one! Saturday we do Mall of America. Time might be a little tight. If you were doing Friday night's show, we might have been able to meet up for supper before the show. I am sure traffic is going to be crazy though.

well I'll be in St Paul that day for the Irish Fair so maybe we could meet up somewhere. The Liffey pub will be insane but there's a few other places down the street. Traffic is going to be crazy. Whoever approved the concerts for the same weekend as the Irish Fair is an idiot. Downtown St Paul is way too tiny for the amount of traffic that will be coming in for both events. But yeah...if you guys think that Friday before your show would work I would be up for that. So far only one person has answered me about doing a gathering :(

Guess I should be glad I have a hotel where I can leave my car and walk to the concert. What exactly goes on for this fair?

Irish Fair | August 10-12, 2012 – Harriet Island


it's fun....not as big as other irish fairs but still lots to do. Also one of my all time favorite bands, Gaelic Storm, is playing for the first time in years. Since our fair is free and GS is pretty big in the Irish fair community, they usually only play here now at paid venues. But they'll be there on Friday night and I'm super excited!

It's close enough that you could walk to it on Sat if you wanted to check it out.
 
We arrive pretty early Friday, so maybe the kids, my Irish hubby and I will take a look. I'm so glad you told me about it!

We could make plans for supper that night. I have to check to see what time the concert starts. If you are down there anyways, it would work out!
 
yep I'll be there....not sure what time. I have a friend coming up from Iowa for the weekend so I'll check with her and the MN group and get back to you :)
 
My friends and I are going to the Coldplay show up there on the 10th. So I probably wouldn't be able to tag around the city with you guys, much as I'd love to. But, if nobody minds, maybe we could meet up at a bar for drinks or something, at least?

29 days, counting the 10th :hyper:! I can't believe it's getting so close already.

Sometimes when I express the hatred and fear I feel when I think of spiders, someone will be like "But spiders have families too!!" Like somehow that will make me become sympathetic and understanding toward spiders. But that's exactly the point. Spiders have families and their families are also spiders. We should kill spiders because they have families.

*Nods* This has always been my reasoning. I'm normally a big ol' animal lover and whatnot, so I know this makes me hypocritical, and I'm sorry, but...fuck, spiders are creepy as hell.

I loved the updates. The boyfriend deciding to try and stab the spider-there's a novel idea :lol:.

Day 1 at Comic-con was great. :D

For the Buffy fans: We met Tom Lenk! He was SO SWEET. He was always one of my favorites on Buffy, so funny (He's Andrew!) and he was on Angel a few times I think too. Anyway, he was just by himself in a corner organizing his bags as he said he was catching a plane soon and we went up to him and were just talking. Took some pics and then he handed me his iphone and asked me to take a pic of him with some of the girls. (He had to teach me how to use it) Then he posted it on his Twitter account! So ya I took that pic! :D

Yeah the Bono Sounds section was an amazing thing to find when I first started looking for Bono stuff on line years ago. :ohmy::lol: I still have every one of those sounds downloaded on my ipod from there in maybe 2005. :giggle:

I'm at home now but Chelsea went out pub crawling in SD's gaslamp quarter tonight (by Comic-con) Seems they got invited to the upstairs VIP section of some place and are now dance partying with Nathan Fillion.

I recall hearing that Wild was given a stuffed bear with one of those noises stuffed in it after her surgery. I guess it turned a lot of heads en route because Bono Bear kept moaning.

Since I'm not working this month I talked to my trainer and told her after this coming Monday (my last paid session for this round) that I'll have to put her on hold for a few months until I can save up again. So we looked at the schedule for all of the free classes and she picked a cardio kick boxing class, yoga, and a lift and pump class. I've been so limited in my classes because she wants me to take the day before and after our sessions off from weight training to give my muscles a break. But now that I can't work with her on Mondays, I can take a class on Sun and a class on Tues. I'll see how they go. I'd much rather pay for a 1 on 1 with a trainer than do a class but since that's not an option I have to do this for now. Not so sure about yoga but I'll give it a try.

I enjoy the classes from time to time - not on a regular basis, but if it's gonna keep you going to the gym to have a regular schedule, go for it!

Yay for nice pool time! I usually forget sunscreen everywhere BUT my face. (NOW, just like in the last couple years. Before then, I never wore sunscreen at all - terrible :reject: )

Yeah and I'm going on 2 planes. I don't love flying the way I used to. Take off and landing make me nervous.
 
For the people going to the Coldplay shows in Minny, I'm heading down there Thursday. Staying downtown Minny. Not sure what time I'll get there Thursday and we like to stop in Duluth for a bit to do some shopping. Friday I'm probably heading to the Irish fair, but early, so I can get back to the hotel before the concert to get ready, and then head down to the venue. Leaving Saturday most likely.

I need structure at the gym so classes or a trainer is really the only way I'm guaranteed a good workout. I don't feel I get that on my own. I might feel differently tomorrow after I get back to running after a 2 1/2 week break. Little nervous about it but I'm sure it will feel great.

I guess I forgot all about sunscreen on my back too. :sigh: My cousin had some in a spray bottle so I was going to use it or just have her apply it on me but with two excited little kids (and two excited big kids) we got distracted.

I cannot wait for Coldplay :drool:
