Oh that's a good idea. I need gum indeed, since popping my ears is pretty tough on its own. *puts gum on list*

:reject: I had no choice what airline to fly with either. Erp, that doesn't sound like fun. I have an 8 hour flight with them...

I shouldn't have said anything. :uhoh: I'm sure it will be fine!! :) Maybe they've changed for the better since the last time I flew with them. :)

Wait what? :uhoh: Since when is that?

I think it's been over a year, if not more. Air Canada is credit card only.

I have to have gum for take-off and landing.

I used to fly alone as a kid (parents divorced when I was like 2 and always lived on opposite ends of the earth it seemed). I had a few rough flights as an older teen and HATED lying after that. I overcame with the help of Xanax for Ireland. I'm better now. But I still need Dramamine, decongestants, Benadryl and my Celtic cross when I fly. I look like Courtney Love boarding the plane - knocking back a handful of pills with a drink.

Michael O'Leary of Ryanair goes into a Dublin pub and asks for a pint of Guinness.

"That will be one Euro, please," says the barman.

"That's a very fair price," replies O'Leary.

"Would you like a glass with that, sir?" asks the barman.

I've noticed it the past few years, but I don't fly that often. Northwest, Alaska, maybe American as well - they do credit card only transactions during the flight, for drinks and food.

Just check with the airline before you go - I have no idea if it's all airlines, or what.

Where can I check this? At their website or something?

Hope so. and Bugger. Ugh, I'll buy my shit at Frankfurt airport then I guess and eat/drink there before boarding. I got a 2 hour layover and already have my boarding passes, so I got the time.

That used to be me! Although I'd usually down the pills before the flight, so that I'd be nice and drowsy/loopy/almost asleep by the time the plane took off.

Glad to hear you've overcome most of that! :)

Actually, it seems like many airlines are changing to a "no cash" policy for buying stuff on the flight, they only take credit cards.

OH well even better then!

*entire trip is being charged* :uhoh:

:hmm: Ooh, I could get rid of some of my Euros with that.

:shifty: Might sleep better with some booze, though :uhoh: is noon too early?

Never too early IMO

*wishes I had a you tube clip of a certain Lucille scene in Arrested Development  *

Yeah, I have an hour layover after my first flight, so I'm probably going to have breakfast there, then also buy lunch food to take with me on the next flight. It really depends on the food options they'll have. Since I'm flying AC both flights, I'll be able to figure out what they have available on the first flight, then buy accordingly after that one.

How long flight ya got to Ireland Cori, and yea, been in Thailand few times and every 3 hours got my alarm goin and walking around plane, sitting down in pressurised cabin doesnt do good ;)

Are you allowed to take food on your flights?

:D I'm having breakfast in Frankfurt, with German sausages. Love those, so good timing.

:applaud:

Couldn't find a clip but found the quote. God I love Lucille.

Lucille: Get me a vodka on the rocks.
Michael: Mom, it's breakfast.
Lucille: And a piece of toast.

Ack, they're home. Gotta move back home then. I was planning to sleep early, but now I don't want to. :grumpy: Must. Prove. Postwhore. Title.

Yup! Shouldn't be a problem. Whenever I fly to/from Hawaii, I always purchase my meal in the airport before boarding. I also always bring nuts/trail mix and other stuff like that from home.

:hmm: Oh that's nice. I thought both food and drink were not allowed.

Drinks are an issue before you go through security. But like you said earlier, you're bringing an empty bottle to fill up later, so that will be okay. You can also buy drinks once you're past security that you can take on the plane. As far as I'm aware, it's totally fine to bring your own food/airport food onto the plane. I've never had an issue doing that before. I used to bring my whole entire meals with me when I was in my teens & early 20's, since I had too many dietary issues to eat whatever crap the airline served.

Pringles work better for me than gum for landing, I have no idea why.

I've been going back and forth on what to do, finally decided to pawn my guitar so I can afford to go to the doctor in the morning for Xanax. I can't believe I'm leaving Rosie with strangers, but I'd rather not have to freak out about... well, freaking out. :reject:
