Who will be lining up for Montreal 1? I know most have the 2 shows, so they are soundboarding it the first night. I'm just doing the one since my husband's understanding of this kind of thing is stretched to the limit.

 I am in the same situation as you. My husband still thinks he is going to get a full day of sightseeing and then casually take a ride on the Metro to the concert. I do not know what part of 80,000 people taking public transit means to him, but to me it means this :panic::panic::panic: I am praying that someone will be watching over me that day...it's my one and only chance to be in GA.

I'm lining up for the first night then I might soundboard second night, because I intend to party it up after show 1, sleep and then come fresh for night two. Although nothing is set in stone yet :mac:

I'll see you there for 2nd night. :hi5:

Also, if you still are looking for a place, someone in the last thread had mentioned dorm rooms at one of the universities. Anyone remember which/where?

Can someone bring me up to speed on the line process? Signing in and leaving, whats all that about? Never experienced that..even up to the last Toronto show..we lined up, and stayed put. I think we left at some point for an hour to shower etc but we were there overnight the night before, for sure.

No - but I'd love to hear about that!! I saw one dorm on Kayak but it was pretty far from downtown, on the other side of the mountain. It was great for proximity to the venue but given the way the Metro shuts down early, I'd rather be closer to downtown and further from the venue, for partaying purposes..if you see what I mean ;)

I'll probably do the soundboard both nights. I lined up for the Seattle show and that was good enough for me. I'm not used to heat or humidity plus my bones are getting a little old. Just want to go and hear some good music and not really stress.

I'll most likely be lining up both nights! If it's storming or like 110 degrees, I'll wait till afternoon, thought. ;)

I was looking forward to watching this race for Larry on Friday...

The Railskank Dash will be proceeded by a nice warm-up with Welsh Blackberry Yoga.

Nice read--dry funny. Thanks for posting that.

"The Ladies need many, many more porta-stalls than the Gentlemen. Can we agree on this? The Ladies’ room has to be significantly bigger than the Men’s room. Otherwise, the Men’s room is full of the Ladies. This is not solving the Jerusalem problem – it’s easy. More bathroom stalls for the Ladies. Make it happen, Edge"

LOL!
That made me giggle.

Well 3 more sleeps until I leave and I packed all my stuff yesterday to discover I need to go buy some things. So after work today I am going to do some running around. Didn't want to be last minute rushing, but apparently that is what I will be doing.
I can't wait until Thursday morning!!:hyper:

Fun fact: the two performances are expected to net 33$ million for the city in tourist revenue.

As a measuring stick, the Grand Prix de Montréal brings in about 80$ million every year.

Crazy how much $$$ two U2 dates can bring.

Not counting the hundreds on Craigslist where I have now posted my extra GA for Saturday that. Kinda sad...why are there sooo many tickets available for these shows?
I'd imagine because the audience can just go really, really far back. Not really a traditional venue where you are constrained by field size for the # of standing tix you can sell as a promoter.

That's my best guess, anyway.

If you have a chance to pick up another ticket to see them two nights in Montreal, go for it of course. They'll be the craziest non-South American shows of the tour.
