You know people do say (and I understand it) 'oh Bono looks great, leave him alone, he has an attractive personality blah blah', but it happens to men (and women) as they get older, they stop caring, stop looking in the mirror, stop trying and wham! wake up looking like the (hippopotamus) gentleman to Bono's left........

Had to check out this thread as I'm blown away by how COOL Bono looks in these pics! Lets hope this is a pointer to the style for the new album and tour. There's something really effortless and natural about his look here... he's looking so fresh and boyish in most of the pics too... Very cool indeed.

(I feel a bit outnumbered as a "Mr" in here tho! Hehe)

I tried, just a very short summary though.

The irish singer was chosen as Man of peace of 2008 and dedicated the prize to San Suu Kyi, and to the Nobel men, true heroes: “I'm just a too much awarded star, but you did the history. We talk about history, you make it”.
Bono did also criticize Italy about its investment policy towards developing countries.

Bono started his speech in an ironically broken french, playfully thanking the mayor of Paris for having said "this is your home" before: "I want to thank him for this beautiful statement. therefore, next year, when we'll come here, you'll see U2 swinging on these beautiful chandeliers”.
He also thanked carla bruni for her humanitarian engagements and Ingrid Betancourt:“she's like a silent storm blowing in the storm", simplicity and sweetness.
He then harshly criticized the US politics and the absolutely lack of dispute about poverty during the last elections.

And about his role of pop star:“I, a pop star, was really surprised when general James Jones called me at 10am telling me 'we have millions of dollars invested in high technology and aeronautics but we're losing against Hamas, because they are building schools. And I want to understand what's going on'”.

So I went there this morning, before he came, we were only about ten to wait, I think there was as many policemen as fans!
I saw him in in his car, but since he was late, he just smiled and waved (at least he wasn't in a car with tinted glasses like someone beofre him), and I just had to time to take a few blurry pictures...
I think Ali was in the car, and I'm not sure, but that's what other people said, Penelope Cruz was there too...

Anyway, I had to go, and when I came back, he was already gone... I thought he would stay for lunch, but he didn't. He left just before we arrived... I'm a bit disappointed, espacially since he looked really good! But at least you posted beautiful pics!
