PORNSTACHE! :combust:

/PLEBA moment.

Oh. I could definitely live with Dr. Robert on stage every night. Most certifibly definitively.

Macphisto was awesome! but I pretty much agree with the rest of OPs statements. Pretty neutral on the laser jacket.

but I hate hate hate the conductor uniform from the vertigo tour. Bono, when performing such seriously amazing songs from achtung baby, why do you have to make me so visually repulsed by the over the top cheesiness? I know Bono can sometimes be "corny" but someone in the band must have enough sense to say "Seriously Bono, that is a really stupid outfit to represent our music" ... right... ? :reject:

You really think Bono gives a damn about what the others think about his outfit?

I wouldn't take advice from Adam either after seeing some of the outfits he's been wearing on the 360 Tour, the first leg in particular.

Bono was the best part of the movie!

dont understand so much dislike of the laser jacket. I love it. great visual effect to spice up UV. and I expecially love the saying goodbye to the jacket during wowy for later part of US tour (not sure if he's still sending jacket to the skies during Leg 3)

laser jacket looked better than the train conductor of zoo station for vertigo. but even that didnt make me cringe.

good taste overall

I love this pic...this is typical bono humour. Anyone who thinks he is too serious should be shown this pic!

From what I can tell, Bono has a wacky sense of humour. I love the leather pants and jacket in the 360 tour. Plus I've always loved the glasses - he can wear them and pull it off!!

:laugh: Pahahahaha!!! Is this photoshopped? It looks almost real.

Jackets are definitely cool this tour were cool on Vertigo and Elevation to me as well. The laser jacket is freakin awesome! That thing makes the whole show much better.

Bono probably photoshopped that photo all by himself, if his sense of humour is anything to go by.

I loved the laser jacket and the round microphone thingy that was lit up red - awesome!!! As someone else said, I don't think Bono could care less about what other band members think of his outfits.........the leather look is definitely 'very cool'.

360 Tour Black leather jacket

Hi everyone!

I walked into a casual clothing store in the city (Melbourne Oz) a couple of weeks ago, as my wife wanted to look around, and saw hanging up for $69 (AUD) a black jacket almost identical to the one Bono is currently wearing on the 360 Tour!
I stopped and noticed it straight away. Anyway, i said to my wife "That looks like Bono`s jacket from the 360 concert!" and she tried to convince me otherwise, as she didn`t want me to spend the money...he he! I asked the sales assistant if i could try it on, and of course brought it!
It is quite similar to me...it has the lapels on the shoulders, a little bit different pockets on the chest, zips up at the front and sections of it are even perforated like his too! The only thing is it`s fake leather, that`s why the great price! Looking at Bono`s and this one at first glance you can hardly tell the difference!
I haven`t worn it yet, but it`s coming into colder weather here so will make use of it soon! Should look cool with a black t-shirt underneath (and maybe my Bvlgari`s....he he!!)

Anyway, just thought i`d share!

Cheers, Mikie!

Looks like a malfunction then since he was wearing it. That's too bad, though I doubt they meant to screw you on purpose.

Very cool about your jacket find u2mikie!

Typically a new and unseen leather tour jacket is unveiled, but its the same one from the promo tour so far. Blame the recession.

360:

Leather shirt thing = Cool
Laser Thing = Stupid

Vertigo:

Black Motorcycle Racer = Cool
Black and Red Love and Peace Monstrosity = Stupid

Elevation:

Generally Cool, particularly those used on the opening shows

Popmart:

Nothing needs to be said.

ZooTV

Fly suit = Cool
Macphisto= Not cool

I like the laser jacket.

Bono did wear one hideous jacket during the ZOOTV tour, though very few seem to know about it.

He had a red fly suit made, PVC plastic pants and jacket, and wore it at one of the Hershey rehearsal shows. The only photo I've ever seen was in the U2Propaganda book as it was on the cover of a ZOOTV prop editions.

Slightly MJ-esque, though a decade late.

I think about 5 or 6 different pictures exist of the red suit that I know of, but yeah I think it was only worn in rehearsal.

Did he wear that infront of an audience, even the small Hershey audience that gave $15 each to a food bank or whatever?

None of the 5 personal reviews on u2tours say either way and my Concert Chronology book is in storage right now.

Nothing is mentioned about it in the book U2 Live, so I really don't know, sorry!
