Today, the WH released a transcript of a call at odds with their own readout from real time. When questioned about this WH responds:
Hogan Gidley says it's standard operating procedure for the NSC to provide the readouts. "This one was prepared by the NSC’s Ukraine expert.” That would be Alex Vindman, who testifies publicly Tuesday.

Pres Trump said he did not tamper or try to intimidate the witness. He said “tampering is when a guy like shifty Schiff doesn’t let us have lawyers“ & GOP given no due process.”

Note: There is a GOP lawyer asking Qs today & Yovanovitch says she felt intimidated by Trump tweets.

Also today, WH said Trump wasn't watching the hearing. He then went out and told reporters he watched.

We have officially sunk to a new low. Well at least for today.

...do...do I want to know what the hell this is all about..? I'm thinking no.

No wonder the Republicans are suddenly now changing their tune about wanting these hearings to be made public. They're showing themselves to be the utter fools they are on live television.

I hope they all get sunk so hard next year.

What a freaking day

Banner day for the Buttigieg campaign. In a profession of cynics, he has vaulted to the top.

Also, very discouraging to see Pramila Jayapal, who not that long ago laid the groundwork for Bernie Sanders making improveents to his healthcare plan, inexplicably abandon all of what she stood for to endorse the Warren/Buttigieg public option plan. Plenty of people do things like this to jockey for positions in administrations, but I did not expect it from her. She staked her previous claim on shoring up holes in coverage for healthcare for the disabled; any public option, which is coded language for "the insurance companies are still running things," will throw them to the wolves. I'm sure she knows this, which is why it is particularly disappointing from her.

I really struggle with how many people don't treat this healthcare debate as life-and-death. It is for so many people. Private insurance kills many people every year by denying access. Treating this as some debate club exercise every election has never worked.

Umm, actually it’s socialism that’s never worked and has the blood on its hands of millions

No. It's working in a ton of countries, including mine.

It makes logical sense that if you take the funds from paying into countless private for profit insurance brokers and pay it into one government pool, that costs will decrease and gains will increase. Not sure why that's so difficult to comprehend, other than "MY INDIVIDUALISM IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE COLLECTIVE GOOD." Bunch of idiots. It's so frustrating, watching you guys trying to figure this out, being almost a century behind.

Further, 98% of you have no idea what socialism even means, equating it with communism or corrupt fascism (which is what you are under right now), but as long as FOX News tells you socialism is bad, then you all take that as the gospel truth. Good lord. Talk about dumb.

As usual, as I always say to you, tell me where I'm wrong. And you never can.

Simple facts don't always mean simple minded.

If your argument is that having a single payer health care program is going to mean a country of blood soaked streets and destruction of our society, then there is where you are wrong. Very simple. And if you can't see how a statement like that is false on every level, then there is no help for you.

We'll wait for your example of how this happened to the United States when Social Security and Medicare were created.

You’re still needed in the mass shootings thread. If you’ve forgotten, we are waiting for your mass shootings kill count analysis by weapon type.

But regarding healthcare, simple fact, it works elsewhere. Multiple elsewheres.

Have to say that while it's obvious that Fox news is incredibly dangerous and brainwashing an entire segment of our society. I think almost as bad are the morning shows like GMA that completely sanitize the news coverage. I saw some this morning covering the impeachment hearing from yesterday and the closed door testimony from David Holmes.
It was pretty shocking. No mention of the contents of the call that Holmes recounted - "they love your ass", "He will do anything you ask", "He doesn't give a shit about Ukraine, just the big stuff like investigating the Bidens" etc... Nothing. just said he overheard a call between Trump and Sondland.

Yovanovitch's hearing was boiled down to - "she touted her patriotism and professionalism, but in the end - no smoking gun"

seriously, this is what is being fed into the homes of millions of middle of the road suburban homes every day, and is completely void of reality.

except for the violent, bloody messes of countries like Canada, Sweden, Denmark, Findland, France, Germany, Japan, UK, Italy, Portugal, the list of nightmares goes on and on!!!

Oh yes, they presented it as though testifying was tattling, and their words are nothing more than hearsay. Because everyone was an Obama/Bush appointee, and if not, they’re being blackmailed by George Soros’s golden retriever to turn on Trump [emoji23]

it's pretty stunning how this asshole just outright ignores every single post that actually refutes any bit of the dumb shit he says and just pretends that they don't exist, so therefore he is always right by default about everything he says and thinks.

When you speak in memes and caricatures, while burying your head in the sand for 90% of the posts it’s easy to believe you’re always correct.

Sorry I don’t have all day to spend on here, or worry about my post count.

I respond to what I think is relevant. And again, tell me where I was wrong instead of complaining that I don’t post enough.

Sorry if you felt neglected Beavis

I already did point out plainly how you were wrong. So you giving this response just confirms DaveC’s comment, that you don’t acknowledge any responses that prove your statements are false.

If nothing else comes from the impeachment public hearings, my hope is that Dems can use it to get a stronger position in the Congress and flip the Senate.

Here is one example . The stunts pulled by Elise Stefanik yesterday, pissed off every day Dems so much, that she went from about 25,000 followers on twitter to 200,000 follwers and brought in almost half a million dollars in 24 hours from thousands of donations.

Welp, looks like our buddy Sondland may have also lied in his REVISED testimony!

Morrison transcripts directly conflict with Sondland's 5 page written revision.

Sondland had stated that he wasn't working on direction from the president, but rather Volker, Gulianni, and others.

from Morrison

On or about July 15, Deputy National Security Advisor Charlie Kupperman stated that "the chief of staff's office had informed OMB that it was the President's direction to hold the assistance."

Trump told Sondland that "President Zelensky must announce the opening of the investigations." Later, Morrison added: "There was no quid pro quo, but President Zelensky had to do it and he should want to do it."

Before Trump's call with Zelensky, Sondland emailed TIM MORRISON "and several other White House staff to inform us that he had spoken to the President that morning to brief him on the call."

MORRISON: [Sondland] related to me he was acting—he was discussing these [Ukraine] matters with the President.
Q: And, in fact, every time you went to check to see whether he had, in fact, talked to the President you found that he had talked to the President?
MORRISON: Yes.

Interesting. It seems like all posts refuting yours are not relevant. They’re the ones you don’t have time for.

Also, you’re wanted in the mass shootings thread. Something about the death tolls associated by gun type. Though that’s not relevant to the post where you implied it made no difference.

Not sure anyone is interested in the LA gov's race tonight. But i will be updating you anyway. :)

polls just closed. And as i said before, if the Democrat wins in DEEP red Louisiana, after Trump visited multiple times, twice in the past week, This will be like someone shitting on his Big Mac. And I just live for moments like that.

So far, early returns are showing a some good news. Edwards getting a few more percent in certain areas than he got in the primary. So fingers crossed
