Nancy Reagan Opposes Ronald Reagan Dimes

[Q]"When our country chooses to honor a great President such as Franklin Roosevelt by placing his likeness on our currency, it would be wrong to remove him and replace him with another," she said. "It is my hope that the proposed legislation will be withdrawn."[/Q]

Some Common Sense....Wow!

they shouldn't really change the presidents on any of the coins... well... except maybe andrew jackson. they could change him and i wouldn't mind... and we don't really need any new coins or dollars or anythin'... actually i'd prefer if they got rid of those god damned sacagawean dollars. damned train ticket and metro card machines spit those things out. i remember first time they started doing that... i put in a 20 to pay for a 6 dollar train ticket... got 14 bucks worth of sacagawean dollars back. bastards...

ok i'm done ranting now

I think the question should be .... 'What did Reagan do that would make him worthy of being on our currency, and replacing another person?'

I can't think of anything.

So, IMHO, he shouldn't be on our currency.

The 2 dollar bill cause of the ancient and politically incorrect saying "As queer as a 2$ bill". I was just clarifying a previous post.

IMO he caused this to become a greater pandemic in the Us than need to happen by not allocating research mony for whatever reason.

Did anyone watch and ANGEL IN AMERICA? Very heavy, but I think it may represents how gay men felt at that time. I lost a family member in 84 and watched many of his friends disappear also.

So no I can't think of anything else.

Anyone who watched the wonderful HBO movie "And The Band Played On" knows why Reagan should never be on our currency. If he had given AIDS research the funding it deserved, we would be ten years ahead in research by now. Ron Reagan Jr summed it up perfectly when he said "My dad didn't consider homosexuals his constituency. He was more concered with curing Legionaires Disease"!
Nonetheless President Grant doesn't deserve to be on our currency either, General Grant maybe......

You're alive today(along with the rest of humanity) because JFK didn't have the itchy trigger finger like a certain current President.
So yes he does belong on our Currency.
Nonetheless I would like to see more non-Presidents on our Currency. MLK would make a great replacement for that loser Ulysses Grant.
