Thanks again

1. Achtung Baby
2. The Joshua Tree
3. How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb
4. The Unforgettable Fire
5. Pop
6. Zooropa
7. War
8. All That You Can't Leave Behind
9. Boy
10. Rattle and Hum
11. Under a Blood Red Sky
12. October
13. Passengers

My comments would be:
- ATYCLB is to high...
- War, Boy, October are to low
- Pop is in the right place
- we've saccesfuly dismantled the fake "ATYCLB is U2's 3rd masterpiece" myth
- so called "un-finished" albums are quite popular and loved by fans(4,5)
- U2girl is even better than Bush in making up false theories
- there is no 80's fans or 90's fans here, there are only U2 fans (order of the list)

Thanks. I kinda forgot about the complete list. lol. This extra results thread was a spur of the moment thang.

My opinon

- Passengers and October are rated too low.
- How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb and All That You Can't Leave Behind are rated too high.

Pop is my favourite album but there was no chance of it winning. Otherwise the results aren't too far off the mark for me.

my personal top5 is:

1. Achtung Baby
2. Boy
3. HTDAAB
4. War
5. Pop

so 3 out of 5 are on the right place... the real pain is seeing Boy and War so low on the final list... but every U2 fan is diferent so...

Can't say I'm too unhappy, except for how Boy was disgracefully eliminated early. It's only the best debut album ever!

My top three was flipped and moved a little, but all in all, it wasn't too bad:

1. The Unforgettable Fire
2. How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb
3. The Joshua Tree
4. Boy
5. Zooropa

I feel it was a good thing to do and should prove that Achtung Baby is the golden standard among hardcore fans at least on this board.

The best album won

Boy is disgustingly low - it should be above HTDAAB. Zooropa is was too underrated too. I'm happy with ATYCLB's position. I'm a little torn with how I feel about HTDAAB's position.

1. Achtung Baby
2. Zooropa
3. War/UF
4. Boy
5. HTDAAB

My list of how they should be rated, objectively:

1. Achtung Baby
2. The Joshua Tree
3. War
4. Zooropa
5. The Unforgettable Fire
6. How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb
7. Pop
8. All That You Can't Leave Behind
9. Boy
10. Rattle and Hum
11. Passengers
12. October
13. Under a Blood Red Sky

Subjectively
1. Achtung Baby
2. Zooropa
3. The Joshua Tree
4. Pop
5. War
6. How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb
7. Rattle and Hum
8. The Unforgettable Fire
9. All That You Can't Leave Behind
10. Passengers
11. October
12. Under a Blood Red Sky
13. Boy

hmmmmm ...... we all knew Achtung Baby was gonna win but i was shocked at the margin in the final round.....

nice work Beli..... enjoyed this one:up:

Watch out for the first round of singles survivor to begin in less than twelve hours. I'll be starting it tomorrow morning my time, and I'm about to call it a night now.

Thanks for all the info and the work.

My personal top 5 would be

JT
AB
hmmm... War/HTDAAB
ATYCLB
Zooropa

Hooray for Achtung Baby! But like others here, I was shocked at the numbers in the last ballot. I thought for sure it would be a close race the whole way.

Am I the only one who feels that ATYCLB should have been higher? I'd rank it as my thrid of fouth favorite.

Thanks Beli! You rock!
Looking forward to Axver singles survivor! :hyper:

the best album won.

ATYCLB should have been lower. the second half of that album was the biggest anti-climax in my life of listening to U2.

Roll on the singles survivor!

Achtung Joshua! said:
My friends and I had a huge laugh at all the results :madspit:

Well, my friends and I laughed at your album rankings. Zooropa and Pop the worst albums? I don't think so! Experimental masterpieces that sound like almost nothing out there.

Who says an album has to be climactic to be good? The Joshua Tree isn't climactic. Their first three albums aren't climactic, The Unforgettable Fire isn't climactic.

Too many people here are very closed-minded to this album.
