if you wanted to show someone that larry's an awesome drummer, what songs would you use as examples?
i know SBS's military marching beat is pretty impressive. but what are your other favorite examples of larry drummimg?

Man, I was about to post a topic like this!

Streets live is awesome.
Discotheque live is cool too.
Mysterious Ways has a cool beat.
i love Gloria
Beautiful Day has some good drums.
One is kinda funky-cool

And, the best drum song (studio) for Larry is Mothers of the Dissapeared! Those electric drums rock!

well. he's no Mike Portnoy, Lars Ulrich or Eric Singer (the best in the world IMO )

I'm a drummer, and I've never been impresed by him, except when I saw THE FLY in the Zoo TV Video, and when I heard Discotheque live (Elevation). Try also with ACROBAT and LIKE A SONG. Those are great drumming

Streets
Gloria
With A Shout (I  the intro)
I Threw A Brick
Like A Song
Please (Live with the SBS snippet)
Exit

That's all I can think of at the moment...

pepokiss: "he's no Mike Portnoy, Lars Ulrich or Eric Singer". You are probably right, but they are no Larry Mullen either...

Great suggestions. Also look at With or Without you on R&H video! That is drumming!!

always especially admired his drumming on A sort of homecoming and The fly
