Bono is named #44 on the list of the most powerful people in entertainment according to Entertainment Weekly.
It says, "U2's year kicked off with a massively heralded Super Bowl halftime mini-set and didn't go downhill from there, even as the 9/11 healing torch finally got passed to Bruce. The band won top Grammy's, has wrapped the second-highest-grossing tour in rock history, and will release a best-of-the-90's CD in November. But, Bono's strongest power lies in uniting strange bedfellows under charitable sheets: touring Africa with Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill to lobby for debt relief, and stumping for the cause in front of Republican congressmen. And the rockers DATA (Debt, AIDS, Trade for Africa) cause has attracted a varied group of supports".
Not bad!
There is also a full page cartoon of Bono as a superhero...
"Bono as BANSHEE, the Irish X-Man who battles foes with a voice that makes walls tumble".
I love it!
