Agreed. The 5 June 1983 performance on the Red Rocks video sealed the deal on my fanaticism. It's such a scorching performance. 4 November 1981 is another amazing one, with THREE solos!

WHY is this song not being played on the current tour? It should be part of the set every night. And goodness, it should've been on an album!

(PS Nice to see someone from Welly on the board! I'm from Raumati Beach. Stuck in Australia at the moment. :sigh: )
 
I love it, one of my favourite U2 songs to dance to.

I find a real darkness to the original version. I think it has to do with its production by Martin Hannett, who worked with Joy Division.
 
I love this song. I wish i had the studio version. All I have is the under a blood red sky version. Which is great.

The studio version is by far the worst 11 O'clock Tick Tock, heh. I was a bit disappointed when I heard it ... then I cranked 5 June 1983 and all that went away. :rockon:
