Sheila Kelly on Conan 5/19 showing him how to pole dance - hilarious!!!

Did anyone catch the Halloween episode? It was basically a repeat of this show, but re-done with all skeletons. I caught most of it - pretty funny! Guests were Larry King, Omar Epps (House) and Sheila Kelly. So far I could only find this clip online. Unfortunately, you have to wait til about the 4:00minute mark before the Conan skit starts. Some other crap appears before it :grumpy: But the clip has part of the redone Omar interview and the Sheila Kelly pole dance.

He and Thom Yorke must share the same barber.

I think what Conan and the other late night guys are doing the right thing; even if the writer's are on strike, you can't turn a blind eye to 80 or some-odd other workers who could be out of a job for months.

Even if the show sucks, which Conan acknowledged it probably will, I'll still watch it.

He was pretty funny last night. I caught part of the show - thru Hulk Hogan.

I haven't watched Leno in ages, and have no intention of doing so

Conan's whole skit where he was playing the guitar around the studio was fucking hilarious.

He's still the best ad-libber out of all the late night hosts.

 I agree! This guy's show is never boring. His skits are hilarious, his interviews are side-splitting funny, his material is excellent, his choice of guests and entertainment is great, his staff is superb..... I am so glad to see his show with new and fresh material back!

I wish they'd start putting a lot more of the older clips up on You Tube or somewhere. Some of the funniest shit ever on this show isn't on the web yet.

Don't get me wrong, the show is still very funny but back when Andy Richter was on the show, it was balls out almost every night.

He's had so many great writers through the years come and go but the two best IMO are still on the show. Obviously, Robert Smigel and Brian McCann (Fun Hole Guy, FedEx Pope), he's one the fucking funniest guys on TV. I don't know the name of the character but the curly haired folk singer kills me everytime.

I found a random rare clip here, it's only about 5 years old though:

If you know who John Tesh is, prepare to laugh your ass off

Stewart/Colbert/O'Brien "feud". All 3 were on each others shows last night, and the last "part" was shown on Conan's show. The 11 minute segment ("part 3"):

I hope the clip works. I watched it live last night. I'm trying to watch it again now, but don't know if the full clip is working.

ETA: It seems to only be half the clip. That clip stops before the fight :grumpy:

OK, watching this one now. THIS should be it:

Jimmy Fallon to Take Conan's NBC Chair

The former 'Saturday Night Live' chuckler was considered to be the favorite to take over for Conan O'Brien when he replaces Jay Leno in 2009. Post-'SNL', Fallon has had very little luck at the box office, but NBC hopes his late-night gig will swing momentum back the other way.

:applaud: Congrats Mr Jimmy Fallon! When I heard this news on TV I sent a teext to my sister, she ADORES Jimmy. He'll do a good job taking over for Conan. Oh cripes tho, I wonder if he will steal the ratings from Craig Ferguson? :yikes:

Not too sure if I like this... I've always thought of Jimmy Fallon as sort of a "fratboy" comedian - at least that was the impression I got from him when he was on SNL.

I also worried about the quality of Conan's show when he switches shows... And by quality, I mean the amount of unrehearsed debauchery that usually occurs.

I loved last week's bit when Conan went to the Good Housekeeping labs.

I cannot stand Jimmy Fallon and think this is a horrible idea.

(See: Career on SNL apart from the Barry Gibb sketches, Fever Pitch, Taxi for examples)
