Conversations with Michka Assayas

I've just bought Michka's book on Bono.

Haven't really begun reading it yet as I only got it yesterday but what I have read is the forward by Bono and I can't believe what an excellent 'wordsmith' he is. It's like he can create the most amazing analogies.

Quote: "You, Michka Assayas, became that opportunity to look back into the house of my various lives and tidy my room"

To come up w/stuff like this is awesome. As a 'fledgling' writer I would so love to have his gift at my fingertips.

Anyways, just thought I'd share.

BTW, get the book. It looks like it's gonna be very interesting.

I haven't had time to finish it yet, but it's a pretty decent book. There are some things I wish Bono would elaborate on and others that are old news, but that's what happens when someone else gets to do the interviews. It's WAY better than most of the other U2/Bono books out there, probably because this one was written by some random music writer with no connection to the band.

I've been so lazy lately in reading it, but it's quite interesting

I'm sure it will get even better if I ever get around to finishing it
