HelloAngel
ONE love, blood, life
Bono Mentioned in New Clinton Book
U2 singer Bono has managed to land several mentions in the new autobiography from former President Bill Clinton called "My Life."
Within the book, Clinton references Bono's tireless work on behalf of debt relief, and how Republican North Carolina Senator "Jesse Helms ended up supporting [it] thanks to Bono's personal outreach to him."
Further into the book, Clinton writes about being in Ireland and meeting "Bono, Ali Hewson, and other members of U2 at the Bank Of Ireland." Bono gave Clinton a book of William Butler Yeats poems as a gift, and inscribed it (it was also inscribed by Yeats himself). "Bill, Hillary, Chelsea-this guy wrote a few good lyrics-Bono and Ali" Clinton writes that "the Irish aren't known for understatement, but Bono pulled it off."
