ONE love, blood, life
No Stress, Bono!
There's been a great vibe amongst Argentinian fans ahead of the Buenos Aires shows tonight and tomorrow.
Outside the hotel where the band are staying, hundreds of fans have been patiently waiting to greet their heroes - even coming up with a new chant:
'Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole Bono... Bono...'
More than 500 fans have been crowding the barricades outside the hotel, even standing and sitting on each others shoulders to get a better view. And it's been worth the wait: late afternoon Monday, Bono turned up to meet and greet, receiving, unsurprisingly, quite a reception. (Total madness, would be a better description).
'Don't forget about the people downstairs!' came a voice to Bono, from one fan on his knees behind the barricades, holding another one aloft. When someone offered Bono a stress ball, he returned it, adding, with a smile, that he wasn't feeling stressed!
Then he was given a mic, and expressed the thanks of the band for the passion of the Argentinian fans.
'Muchos gracias,' he said. 'I love this country!'
'Uno, dos, tres ...' he added.
'Cartorce!' came the response, ringing out across Buenos Aires.
