Happy Easter to you too, BG

That was beautiful. It made me happy to read it, too. I wish I could write poems that touched people deeply, too.
Did I sleep or kiss you? --sometimes I feel like that, too.

From the cowardice that dares not face new truth, From the laziness that is contented with half-truth, From the arrogance that does not want truth, My God, deliver me. -- African prayer.

brooding in the stillness
you wait to surface again
the time must be right
to play your tricks
crahing playfully at my feet
a windswept hour in the garden
there, many things grow
did I sleep or did I kiss you?
no doubt the riches were too much
why, I beg, do you want me
when I laugh and mock you still?
did I ever love you, deep inside?
how quickly my betrayal
as I brush away
it punches me under
paralyzed I thought I understood
the ripe fruit elusively out of reach
up to stormy hillside
to laugh an empty laugh once more
endless taunt stretched across the sky
now I wish for nothing but to die
because you said you loved me
and forever I am His by grace

"endless taunt stretched across the sky
now I wish for nothing but to die"

The whole thing is great... but I love the rhythm and feeling of these lines...
