even NJ loves NY
every moment of the worn blades
seems to come to life
in this magic
as the angel's dust touches the hour
leaves it blessed and warm
their wings flutter as they ascend
heavens of beauty open before her
take her, cradle her
all the passion of life flows one way
no return but no good-bye
forever
she who made the angel's feet fly

I feel guilty not sharing but I have nothing to say...I really can't write right now

you probably don't care, but I do

I wrote this awhile back for some one special

This poem makes me think about figure skating. Is that what it's about? I was at a great figure skating show last night--Steven Cousins, a British figure skater who trains in Canada, skated to Belfast Child by Simple Minds which totally blew me away. But anyway, it's the blades and the image of flight--but I think it could be about a lot of things. Your poems are always beautiful.

yes, scattero, it's about a woman who was a figure skater, good call

ZooManda, I can't take credit for the last line but I was in love with it too and that's why I wrote the poem for it...
and if you knew the person, the line described her perfectly

a female figure skater? could it be Eric Lindros?
