Saw my reflection in a window I didn't know
who I was

are all that greet me

I toss and turn all night
no one to keep warm

Everytime I see my reflection...whether it be in a mirror or a window or whatever...it's a reminder that that is all that I am. I'm just another person...just another body taking up space. I'm so insignificant in the grand scheme of things.

Spanish Eyes


Spanish eyes darting around
like fireflies lost in the midnight sky
Trying to discover the truth behind the blanket of lies
She sees her lover from a distance, she wonders how
much longer can she live on his existence
She tries to find the snitch that will separate her from him
but how is that possible when she cant tell where is begins and
he ends

Spanish Eyes lost in love and without a face
with a love only she can taste

The Things We Wear

Shorts, sneakers
Tube top, baggies
all in the name of hip.

Comfort or Style,
which one is first?
Conformity, Status
these are the most important in life.

Dresses or Pants
why wont you give me a second chance or
maybe even a glance!

Gucci or Bvalris maybe Prada
does it really matter what we wear
supposedly no one give a care!

Allow Me to Grow up

You say I need to grow up and get on with my life
and yet you hold me back with you negative thoughts
on the course of my life
I try to pull away and yet I all manage to do is stay

Allow me to grow up
I know you are there if I need you
but how can I ever learn if I dont fall
I will learn from my mistakes and sometimes
be caught in mid fall

So much stress has been built up
you've live your life and now I must
live mine to the fullest of every dime
I will check in with you from time to time

Allow me to grow up, please
for the last time

Racism

Defacism of of those that are different
Inhumane to those that want what we refuse to share
Segration of the colors leads wars within each of us
Few see without color and those that do
are blessed to live in a colorful world that one else can
imagine for until that day no one is safe from Racism

yep I kept hearing no more Lonely Nights over the last few days and so that first poem finally came to me

Irish In Me

Won't you take a ride with me
We'll go ridin' you and me
I will show you the irish in me
Then we'll go down to the hall
Dance with me, partner, dance with me
allow me to show you the many sides of me
My partner and I love the drink so come with
me to the pub to see the true irish in me
I live by luck and fate just the way my
grandfather and those before me live
the Irish in me shows like the badge on a
warrior I am proud to be of irish descent

Miracle

My parents didnt believe in miracles
until the the lord above sent me to
test their love and strength
How would they know their love's strength
with the test of a miracle

The doctors said to give me no chance
but life is built on chances and choices
