From People_To_People_Forum @ yahoogroups.com, early this morning, read the email and posted here:

As we yet brace for another famine in Ethiopia, I send you this sad
remainders of starving Ethiopians in Teculabab camp, in the Sudan, that was
created in 1985 to receive the first refugees from Tigray. Their numbers
would exceed 40,000 before they were moved to El Fau, some 250 miles away by
Brazilian-born photographer Sebastião Salgado...

...and if you think about it,

All that "spam" con email from any where Africa.

Dear sir/madam so and so left a fortune, I need you to open an account so I can deposit the money there, you keep 20 percent for your efforts kind of spam?

Well, suppposing, just supposing (and I had this pretty good in my head too) that them spammers were trying to tell us something.

We're richer in money here in the USA and Europe, they in Africa plainly are not.

However, to bring us to their level.

I'd take a look at the Canary Islands off of Africa and any studies involving the continental shelf drop off. If that ever fell down, the entire eastern seaboard, South America to Iceland would be in ruin in under 8 to 12 hours.

....just a thought.

It's not blackmail, yet, well you try and understand I ask.

no, we cannot abandon a continent.

I don't understand the initial post in this thread, but it sure doesn't seem like a confession. Therefore, this thread is being closed.
