It's a mature Love Song about Bono and Ali. How she really doesn't need him anymore.

How she can take the kids to the south of France and she's jsut fine in her world wandering around.

Kite is Bono saying to us what Ali said to him in that house in August.

Bono has always loved Ali more than his Dad. This song is some of the pain of him Mom and Dad but majorly about and with Ali, and her hard nosed nature, what she told him and what he felt and what he wrote about...

that gave us Love in this Beautiful song.

About letting the one you Love GO. (ali)

The only song Bono ever wrote about his Dad in full is Dirty Days.

All others, including this one are about Ali.

He fucks the World's Love through Her.

Mother Mary lives.
