and which one are you bringing me to?
Well I'm taking my 13 yr old nephew who lives in CT to Hartford and that would have been the easiest possibility for you seeing as its a Saturday and in Hartford not Boston, so that leaves you Wed the 24th or Thurs the 25th...

Saw a bit of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs the other night.

Looking to see The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Franz/Death Cab and Snow Patrol. Damien Rice and The Frames once they're announced.

Haven't seen anyone so far in 2006 but will see:
Pearl Jam
3 Doors Down
Dave Matthews
U2

I saw Human Television and the 303s last night. If you ever get a chance to see either of these bands out, do it. Great show.
HT is the goddamn catchiest rock I've heard in years.
303s a good solid rock band. They'd probably be compared to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, but simply because they have a girl singer. It's not really, in my opinion, a good comparison. They're more like Bloc Party meets radiohead meets ... uh... I dunno, Republica maybe? Very good.

Beck
--coming June 14 to the Georgia Theatre in Athens, GA.
only 800 tix were available for this show
(inside scoop: 100 tix went to the folks at REM, and another 100 went to the Widespread Panic office)
This is gonna be a great show!!!

He's playing a show at the Backyard in Austin in June, too. He had announced a show in Dallas for June 20 on his website, but the date is gone now and I can't find anything else about it. Chances are, in the summertime when I'm back near Big D, I wouldn't be able to make the trip to Austin for the show, so I hope the Dallas date ends up materializing.

If not, fingers crossed that he ends up at the ACL Festival, as rumors state.

So I scored a 3rd row center ticket to see Beck today.

Except that I know I can't go because I have a business trip. Business trips get cancelled or changed a lot, though, and if not...well, gee, I'm feeling a little sick already *cough cough* and I may be too sick to travel by June. :reject:

And because Madonna is playing in Chicago a couple of days before Radiohead is rumored to be there, and I've all but booked the flight because I'm so convinced I'll get tickets (positive thinking, people, that's all I've got right now), I pulled up an unbelievable seat for Madonna just for the heck of it. It was like 5th row off the floor right by the stage, and I almost bought it until I noticed the price: $350. Is she insane? So much for going to see Madonna once in my life before I die "just for the heck of it." I doubt I'd pay that even if I was rich, just on principle.
