All we would have to keep in mind is the fact that NHL playoffs will be taking place in both NYC and BOS.

This is an honest question, not a snark or snide remark:

When people make threads like this, with potential tour itineraries, what makes them think "hey, this is a GREAT itinerary"?

Obviously, any other posters here who don't see their own cities on the list will hate it - for instance, I don't see Seattle on there, so that makes me react with a big ol' FAIL.

But really - what makes this a great itinerary? Multiple night stands in a handful of cities, with entire states being left out? 4 nights in Anaheim but no other California shows?

Well, as U2 did in 2005, the first leg is a handful of shows in major markets to, trying out new ideas. Touring on a bigger scale in Europe... Then returning to the States in the fall with a massive 3rd leg.

I'd like to see U2 return to cities they have abandoned. Jacksonville, Winnipeg, New Orleans, San Antonio, Memphis... They all failed on stadium shows, yes... But if those shows were arena shows, they woulda been sell outs.

Cant we lock these type of threads, so unnecessary and pointless

How did Omaha do crowd wise on the last tour? A good crowd? Is it possible to get 16-20 trucks from Calgary to Omaha in two days? I know they could get back to Minneapolis no problem in two. Good idea though, it they can pull it off.

Fuck Anaheim. The people in Orange country can either drive down to San Diego, or come up to the Staples Center.

Why ? Honda Ctr has better acoustics, more (and cheaper, and safer) parking, you're a LOT closer to the action if you're in the cheap seats and OC is a reachable venue for both SD and LA

me too, since i live in one of these cities and would love not having to travel to see U2 :whine: especially since it made the front page when U2 announced vertigo tour dates and we were passed over. yep, you heard me right: it made the front page of our newspaper

but since the album hasn't even been released yet, i won't bother thinking one way or the other.

Someone tell them to come and play a show in my bedroom, please. I don't have a lot of room in here, but Bono can jump on the bed when he sings Elevation, and we can shove Larry and his drumkit into the closet.

But seriously, I hold out hope for shows in either St. Louis, Memphis, Louisville, or Nashville, as those are the four closest cities to me. I will go as far as Chicago if I have to though (and I'll probably have to)

It's a happy medium for LA and San Diego.

I hope they are in the states in july because I'll be over there on holiday. To be more specific, Orlando, Florida.

There is nothing wrong with this thread. If you don't like this type of thread, my suggestion would be to not bother with them and move on to threads you do like, instead of posting a reply like that.

Sorry, i was just under the impression this was one of the reasons why the Tour section of the forum was closed.
